Day twelve without Robyn...
Oh my golly gosh, I have such great news! I am not even kidding. There is literally nothing you can say that will even stand a chance of trumping the story I am about to tell you! Unless you won the lottery, or had a baby, or made busses with free wifi, or chewing gum that never lost its flavour or something... But apart from THOSE things, there is no amount of story telling or recounting that can surpass my grand tale. Basically. I met Mufasa today. Like legit. Well not really legit - god rest his soul poor Mufasa has moved on, betrayed brutally by his own sibling (don't get any ideas of trying to overthrow me peasant)- however, I did happen to meet the dude who did the voice acting for Mufasa, Mr James Earl Jones, so technically, if you do some cancelling here and there, I pretty much met the most famous King of all time! No doubts! So there I was, looking dodgy as hell standing in the lobby of that really fancy hotel on Victoria street that I can never remember the name of, just minding my own business while subtlety trying to steal every brochure I could find in the vicinity without everyone noticing because I was dared by dad, who sat out in the loading bay (in the car) while we waited for Mamma Goose and Nanny to finish their coffee in the lounge that looks too expensive to even breath air in let alone hot beverages! Somewhere in between stuffing my pockets with the umpteenth brochure to win the bet (I think it was called 'bums on seats tours' if I real) and trying to convince the concierge with my brief eye contact and awkward sideways smiles that I was not a threat, nor some poor urchin looking for a place to sleep and was stealing their brochures for fire wood! (I had just come from tennis, so as you can imagine, I was not looking my usual model-esque self!) And that's when it happened. I talked to Mufasa!! Well James a earl Jones. Well not really. But he did speak to me. Well I heard him speak. I heard him speak to a lady. I heard him speak to a lady while I stood next to him outside the lifts. Yes. That pretty much sums it up. Although I didn't hear him say something superb like "Remember who you are!" Or "Luke I am your father" (that's right, the worlds greatest feline king was played by the same dude who played the galaxy's greatest psychopathic Sith Lord! Deal with it bitchezz ) Ok, so technically I didn't have a heart to heart convo with Mufasa which would have been grand, but I did leer at him creepily (while reciting the whole of The Lion King in my head) while he waited for his lift as my pockets were overflowing with stolen brochures from the pockets of my ten year old tennis uniform... Not really the best way to make a first impression, and I don't really care what you have to say, because hey. I met Mufasa. Deal with it.
