I have thoughts on Daryl and Leo’s new story ..

Obviously the most important thing we learn lore-wise in the story is that Daryl was commanding people during the crusades… I guess all of Illyria’s kings are war veterans?? This is an idea I’ve been hoping was canon and playing around with in my head for years as an AU, so it’s a crazy feeling to see it included in a (probably) canon story. I feel vindicated to say the very least.

Other than that??? Can I just say that I fucking LOVE Daryl’s and Leo’s dynamic??? As an already diehard shipper of the two I feel like I just got 10 nukes dropped on my head reading this. It’s a rare instance of them just having a conversation completely alone and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Anyways . I need them to start lezzing out ok thanks
