JED’S TANNING BED a.k.a. PHOTO THERAPY | 12:11am-April 25, 2018 • It was quite a day today... Nothing like we had planned. But I sit here in the BC Women’s Hospital grateful for so much. • Grateful for the accessibility to such professional nurses and health care that really do such an amazing job! • Grateful for the healthcare system in Canada so that we don’t have to pay a cent! • Grateful for the amazing staff @ @bcchf! • Of course grateful for my family!!! • Grateful for...I just realized this is gonna take forever if I write down one by one everything that is swirling in my head that I’m grateful for!! • I do remember like it was yesterday that in a few rooms away from where I sit and will sleep tonight, God was doing “heart surgery” in Retty and my heart while Darylynn was undergoing physical open heart surgery. • God is good. What a journey! What LOVE He has for us!! • And so as a reminder to all of you who’re taking the time to read this post... NEVER FORGET... ALWAYS REMEMBER... Remember all that you’ve gone through... and be grateful. ULTRASOUND @ 20 WEEKS | Dec. 7 • We woke up around 6:30am today walking into the unknown. • It was at Retty’s 20th week of pregnancy with Darylynn when we found out that Darylynn had a heart condition. So as we walked into the ultrasound room, our hearts began to pound. • In every season, YOU are still God. YOU are still good. And yes, Retty and I thank God for Darylynn and every step we had to/will take on this journey with her. God is good. • Today, God is still good. After Retty’s belly was scanned, the cardiologist told us that just about everything looks “normal.” Woot!! • (There is one thing that is somewhat an unknown in regards to our baby’s heart, but nothing to worry about.) I laughed to myself when hearing about the “unknown.” It just keeps Retty and I in constant prayer and TRUST in God. • A huge thanks to the staff at @bcchf who always makes our visits such a joy and so exciting! We can’t thank you enough!! • If you happen to remember Retty, Darylynn, our lil booger-in-the-belly, and me... please say a little prayer for us. TO THE MOTHER OF MY BABY | May 14 • Happy 1st Mother's Day!!! Last year Darylynn was in your tummy and today was celebrate your first Mother's Day! • From the bottom of my heart, I am so proud of the mother you've become. I am continuously amazed at your motherhood and how you love and take care of Darylynn. You are truly amazing!! • Thanks also for allowing me to sleep as you wake up countlessly night after night. • I love you dearly. • • Special thanks to @jkthe and @valerinow who makes me look like a good husband. At 8pm-ish I texted Jenn to ask if she could put together some flowers sometime this week (since I failed to find any flowers in the mall in this foreign land of Jakarta). She than told me that Vally wanted to drive the flowers over to the place we were staying... over 1 hour drive!!! You guys are amazing!!!
