So After my last post I got all nostalgic about Polyhaus, and was trying to remember the name of a group I had in one time, google, google and I found a few other things instead.
1) Apparently we made the list of top 15 lost venues in Toronto, though they totally could have picked a better/more appropriate picture to use.
2) The above vid of Das Rad (also RIP) playing one of their few slow/spacey and femme-vocaled numbers at Feast in the East 22, Feb 2 2013 (which was at Polyhaus in case that wasn’t clear). I think I first saw them at Feast #2 (maybe 3) when it was still at The Dickens St Theatre. They played Polyhaus quite a few times and it was always a good night. Woulda been a perfect opener for APTBS actually. I coulda probably got Metz on that bill too ya bastids. Just kidding I can’t stay mad at you.
Das Rad (The Wheel)
German is great because if you want to say, “the wheel” you have to say “das rad” which is rad
