Great. Another morning of paperwork, scheduling diplomatic meetings, and trying to keep up her combat skills amidst those. Emoto was on her desk as usual, this time helping to sort things out into proper piles.
At least until the shouting sounded and both of them jumped, resulting in a stack of papers being knocked over into a snowdrift like pile.
"What... the hell..?" Thalia finally murmured, stepping over the papers to stick her head out in the hallway, "That... sounded... like X? Right?" Her audials might have been ringing a tad.
"Okay, so I wasn't mistaken," Emoto nodded, "But what was it about?"
"I'm very sure I'll find out later..." Thalia was noticing a small but growing number of other Hunters trying to see what had happened themselves. With a sigh she went back to the paper pile. There were worse ways to start a day, at least.
Thalia perked up suddenly at her desk in HQ, “... Why do I feel like there’s a fight about to happen and that I should be concerned with one party involved...?”
Thalia felt a shiver, a harsh shiver, run through her. It was powerful enough to make her shudder before looking around. Was she being called to..? Was... Saige trying to get her attention?
“... Saige. It’s... it’s gotta be almost 2 in the morning...”
‘ You̧ ẃill͢ ̕c̷om͡e̴ ͟here ҉or̛ ̛I w͞i̴lļ brȩak ̨o͏ur deal i̷n ̸t́h̵e̵ w̛o̸r̕st͞ ̴o̕f̨ ͏w͠ay͞s͡, Ĺittļe͡ ͠f̵au̡n.̀’ Roared in her head, nearly enough to bring her to her knees. Shadows gathered around her at the words, ushered by the demon who’d forced her into this deal.
“A-Alright!! But ho-” There was a very sudden noise, a flapping noise. She looked behind her, seeing a pair of dark lavender wings having sprouted from her back.
‘ Ư͟s̴͢é͡ ̷̷t̴̨́h̶̵e̛m͟.҉’ The voice hissed. There was no choice then.
Thalia opened her window, looked at the night outside... And with a shaky breath, dropped out and into the skies. For the time being, she didn’t want to think about this. Or the dark and winding shadows spreading along her arm to form the wings she was using.

... good!}
“... Blues, you’re a caffeine fueled disaster. And I hope you know that.” Thalia was just. Shaking her head. This was supposed to be X and Saige’s older brother??
A red and black Reploid stood atop a nearby building, watching the destruction and chaos below. Under his odd hat, his eyes were highly observant, noticing the erratic movements of the much larger robot.
“... So someone has tried to hack the precious hunting dog... Good. Perhaps with enough disruptions, the Hunters will finally fall from their horses... I’ll feel no sorrow in watching another of their members be picked off.” His voice was a growl of satisfaction, a smirk touching his lips.
“Run, run, little hunters... your pets need you...~”
A flash of black and red and he was walking back, pulling out some vials from within his sleeves, “Perhaps I can help along this mutt’s frenzy... I just need to add more heat to the fire...”
She was still looking over communications records, watching others seem to have issues with their cores overheating... When Thalia heard the distant sounds of destruction. She jolted, for a moment embodying that old phrase of a deer caught in headlights... Before she heard the reports, Hunters running through the halls, Navigators giving orders and information.
What had happened..? Someone had... had been hacked? Infected... Her eyes went wide and in a flash her armor was on. Need to be in the base be damned! A Hunter, a Hunter had been infected!! But which one? And they had time to calm them down, right?!
“Please... Please don’t let us lose them...” She never knew why she seemed to talk to no one sometimes, maybe it was the human nature she’d picked up so long ago, “Please... I... don’t make us lose another comrade...” There had to be a way to free them from this virus, there had to be.
Pink and lavender blurred through the halls, passing others with spring-loaded legs until her own Navigator’s voice rang in her ears, “Thalia. We need you to catch up to Saige on Seasons Street. She’s trying to find and stop Basalt.”
“Who... B-Bas...”
“Basalt is the one who went berserk, Thalia. With his size, if he’s not stopped, he could take out a good chunk of the city!”
But... he was so kind. So... loving. Her servos froze for a moment, everything that her Navigator had just said running through her brain. Basalt... But he’d already caused one incident. This... This would...
Thalia blinked, not noticing the faint glowing of her antlers as she took off, wiping tears out of her eyes. She would stop him, she would save him. So help her, if it meant she had to throw herself in front of her fellow Hunters...
She wasn’t letting him go down for this.
