Back from watching #TheIncredibles2 Now that we've managed to get it in the UK, I thought it was pretty good and I really enjoyed it. It carries on straight after the first movie ended, so we finally get to see what happens next after the Underminer appeared, in a fun sequence that ends up casting doubts over Supers once again. Sure it re-treads some of the recognizable beats of the first, but it also keeps it fresh by adding in some new elements, giving you something that is familiar but also something new. The roles are reversed in this one as it's #Elastigirl that takes the lead doing all the super-ing, leaving #MrIncredible to reluctantly look after the kids back at home. It was fun to see this play out, with one relishing the return to action and the other struggling to cope with daily familial struggles as well as Jack-Jack coming into his own powers. There's some great action sequences, spiced with some great humour too - such as #JackJack's tussle with the raccoon, plus the end sequence sets the pulse racing in the battle to save the day! The only criticism is that the big bad, the #Screenslaver, is a touch predictable. They were set up well, giving them a bit of depth, but you could easily follow in the breadcrumbs that were laid out in the film, as Elastigirl followed the clues. All in all, its a fun movie that continues on and builds on from the first. Definitely worth watching!
