Sadly, I went to his blog, and he apologized to Jon.

His stance seems to be he doesn’t end friendships over political disagreements (Which was not the reason they aren’t friends anymore). I am now a bit disappointed in PBG.

The thing is, I get not wanting to end a friendship, and if the political disagreement is something harmless, then yeah, I agree with you PBG. But, when somebody’s political alignment and stance involves the discrimination against other races, homophobia, or other despicable things, that changes the rule. Jon thinks Syrian refugee’s should go home and that their country is perfectly safe despite evidence to the contrary. Sometimes you have to put aside your attachments and ‘I just want to be nice to people’ attitude, and cut ties with clearly despicable people. And when you have a public platform and impressionable viewership, you should take the high ground and show those people that you don’t support such viewpoints.

So, until PBG actually takes a stance like that, I will withhold my pride. I was excited for a moment, until proven wrong once looking into the situation more.
