Any tips for taking Logic for Computer Scientists? Aka Data Log and Predicate Logic?
Hi! Sorry it took me so long, only now got my internet back after moving and Tumblr doesn’t properly notify me of messages in my inbox… Anyway:
I did do some logic during my degree, but only when I was taking an AI class, so I sadly don’t have much to offer. Do you need advice on how to study for logic or on whether to take it in the first place? For the latter I’d say that a good basis in logic can’t hurt, but that you’ll probably need it only rarely, depending on what your study focus is. You’ll need it for AI and anything hardware related, but I’m guessing you’ll get the basics in some other courses as well. So if you don’t think you’ll absolutely need it and have other more important courses to choose, I’d drop it. But yeah, it can be useful and I wouldn’t dismiss it outright.
As for study tips I’m hoping someone else has suggestions. Maybe @algorhythmn?
