Anyone on the East Coast? Help!
This may seem like a weird request, and I'm not entirely sure how it'd work, but my boyfriend and I are a bit desperate right now. As some of you know, I recently made a move from Iowa to Georgia to move in with these people in an intentional community. We talked for well over a month and everything seemed great and we raised the money and made the drive. At first, it was good. But red flags starting popping up here and there, but we did our best to ignore them or brush them aside as no big deal. But the longer we stay here, the less comfortable we are. There is very little communication, and almost as if we're expected to jump in and do everything or ask a million questions. The guy "in charge" has gotten really aggro the last couple of days and has become a bit controlling, despite the air that he was some fun loving, weird hippie when we first met. This isn't the type of community we wanted or expected. Unfortunately, we're out of many options aside from saving up another $600+ to move BACK into the shithole we were in, or into another shithole with my own mother. Now, I'm sure this is a huge long shot, but is there anyone on the east coast who might be willing to let a couple of trans guys park their RV on their property until we can save up enough money to find somewhere else to go? We don't need much just.. somewhere less terrifying to stay. The RV is currently our only place to sleep as well as our only mode of transportation- but that doesn't mean we aren't willing to sell it down the line. We’re just really hesitant to put it up for sale right now because we aren’t sure where we’d go without it.
