Set to release later today (July 22, 2024 @ 6 PM GMT-6), I've finally finished the Definitive Edition of my first datapack, originally named Cornucopia, then VOAT - FRUIT, now, A Lillie Bit of Fruit, for 1.21+.
Have you ever wished that oak trees in swamps would drop something different from apples? Do you like fruit? Collecting shit? This is the datapack for you! In every biome in which you find leaves and vines, they will now drop different fruit depending on said biome. Leaves that generate within Trial Chambers may also bear their own unique fruits.
There are 48 new fruit to collect. To find them, simply head out into the world and break some leaves! If a tree naturally generates in a biome, you can obtain its fruit even from similar trees you yourself planted. For instance, Spruce Trees don't generate in Forests, so they won't drop anything there! If you go to a Taiga, however...
There's also 1 fruit per leaf type for the Nether and End dimensions! Good luck collecting them all!
As a datapack, this is, of course, vanilla minecraft, & can be set up easily on servers.
Cytus is a terrestrial, super-earth type planet found in the Tau Ceti system.
It has a sulfur rich atmosphere, which pools into large lakes & has traces of early animal life. It's become a popular location due to its 14 moons, which have been extensively mined for resources.
Though relatively safe to live on with breathable atmosphere, some regions see a deadly acid rain. Luckily the massive, sky reaching terrain offers helpful cover!
In Cytus' orbit, is a small space station which slowly grew over time, eventually becoming the central travelling hub for the whole system!
Disabling Specific Minecraft Mobs (in Java)
There was a great post about disabling spiders in Minecraft a few days ago and in the notes people kept asking about disabling other mobs too, so I thought I’d make my own post summing up at least some of the resources, starting with the easy ones:
Phantoms:
You can do this with a vanilla command! All you need to do is to enable cheats when you create your world and then run this:
/gamerule doInsomnia false
insomnia is the effect that triggers phantom spawns when you don’t sleep.
Warden:
Same as phantoms! You can use a command!
/gamerule doWardenSpawning false
Other Mobs:
Someone suggested the Bad Mobs mod at CurseForge. I haven’t tried this myself but it looks legit?
If you don’t want to use a mod, there’s the datapack option, and I’m gonna put a cut here because I’m just gonna teach you how to make the datapack yourself based on your own needs. (I promise you, this method is super easy, and you’ll feel so fancy after making your own datapack)
(Some already exist btw, try searching on Planet Minecraft first)
I’ll also include some extra tips at the end that you might wanna check out either way, even if you don’t want to use a datapack.
Was testing out two different ‘Queen Bee’ datapacks in Vanilla Minecraft to spice up my realm. One seemed to work well, adding a sortof Queen Bee miniboss who, entertainingly, is also able to be leashed despite being aggressive, and the other Datapack adds
Well...
God’s Mistake.
Has anyone noticed datapacks not working in 1.15? They corrupted one of my worlds despite using the same ones before the update came, and currently, even after reinstalling the entire game, they don’t function at all, and also broke the advancements/achievements GUI. Anyone else had the same problems? Anyone have a solution, if they have had this problem?
every wanted to be able to play minecraft exclusively in peaceful, and get all the things you couldn’t get before (bones, blaze rods, nether stars)? then i have the solution for you!
this pack allows you to craft all previously unobtainable items in peaceful mode via crafting!
to use, select the peaceful world, click “edit”, then go to world folder, and drop the folder above into the datapacks file!

My fishing datapack, A Lillie Bit of Fish, formerly "VOAT - FISH", has been released for 1.21! You can download it here!
For those who are unfamiliar, this pack changes fishing so that depending on the biome, weather, and time, you catch different fish!
With 1.21, I've even given every fish a combination of eat-time, saturation, and hunger restoration based on their size and rarity, as well as custom stack sizes for the different classes of sizing! Shrimp, for instance, can be eaten very quickly, are not very nutritious, but stack up to 96!
You can also now eat the swordfish / paddlefish / etc, and still use them as weapons.
If you're a fan of Terraria or Stardew Valley's variety, this pack supplants both of them in fish count, so you should be in for a fun time.
Happy fishin'!
