How embarrassing thinking back on it all was. Some trick of time, or fate, or obscuring darkness clouding both himself and Zagreus’ minds keeping them at that awkward distance. That terrible in-between they had been living before admitting, genuinely admitting to each other how they felt and where they stood and he had instantly teleported to see Zagreus the moment he remembered because how embarrassing it was to be so upset over a game when all he really wanted to do now was kiss Zagreus breathless when he could.

The moment they had both remembered, Zagreus had run to him while he teleported to Zagreus - they had almost missed each other. And, admittedly, ‘reunited’ as it were was both embarrassing and one of the best things to happen to him. It hadn’t even occurred to him that perhaps Zagreus couldn’t remember their relationship - of course he would have. They were linked, after all.

But more than that he had heard of this winter event, or series of events, and so he teleported into Zagreus’ room.

“...I’m starting to think we should just live together.” He picks up a wayward sheet that’s only perhaps a third still on the bed, flopping it back onto it. His face did turn pink when he realized the suggestion he made, and then continued to the next topic. Although...He’d even be willing to get lighter curtains so Zagreus can enjoy the sunlight

“...Onto the reason I’m here.” He cleared his throat. “There is some sort of festival going on all over the island. So I’m here to ask if you wanted to go to it with me. As a date, of course.” Wouldn’t it be...Their first date? Something to that effect, they both worked so much at home, and their moments together were fleeting but certainly something like this with their breadth of free time was warranted. Even Thanatos could see that.

And it would make Zagreus happy.
