Perfect Date Ideas if Killing a Man Sounds Like a Hot Date
Perfect Date Ideas if Killing a Man Sounds Like a Hot Date
A few weeks ago, we had our first shower. It was lovely, and Brian’s family is wonderful, and I love them.
One of the activities at said shower was a Date Jar. It was super adorable and everyone seemed to really enjoy participating. So, of course, I thought it would be fun to read them all aloud.
And I was right.
Lots of perfect date ideas ensued, including recreating our first date, heading…

Make Your Own Date Jar
Make Your Own Date Jar
A Quick And Easy DIY Valentine’s Day Gift! Even if you don’t need an idea for a sweet treat for your valentine, DIY date jars are a fun and easy project to do any time of year. In our household we don’t make it more than a few days before we’re stuck on dinner plans or feeling antsy for something fun to do together. That’s why this year I finally made my own date jar, all set and ready to go…

Our Smile Challenge
My boyfriend and I have a date jar; each month we pick out a card (or 3!) and eventually settle on an activity to do together. For example, we’ve been to a new restaurant, made a collage of our relationship, attended a local ballroom dance class, written letters to each other that can only be opened in 10 years’ time, competed in our very own Come Dine With Me competition, and humoured each other’s interests by doing something that we don’t particularly like ourselves. However, although he may vehemently deny it, I know Francis loved the Coronation Street tour really!
This month’s activity is to take a photo of something that makes us smile each day; a task which will probably be pretty easy for my happy-go-lucky boyfriend. But for me, it’s going to be somewhat a challenge. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a miserable cow (…most of the time) and it’s not as though I never smile. But I do currently spend the majority of my days sat at home. And for some reason, I don’t think a particular section of the carpet or some random piece of furniture is suddenly going to crack a smile on my face.
Nevertheless, it’s what the date jar has said we have to do this month… and so I’m going to have to do it! Perhaps it’ll even be good for me; to have my eyes peeled for something smile-worthy, to be constantly on the lookout for something happy. Perhaps it’ll help me to stay in a positive frame of mind. And of course, if I have a crappy day, if I just sit at home, and absolutely nothing manages to elicit a smile, I can always take a picture of my knitting. When all else fails, a completed knitting project is sure to have me grinning from ear to ear.
Cute idea.
I require assistance fellow tumblr peoples!
