"yuuji- wait- you're gonna make me fall!", you yelled at a grinning itadori yuuji tugging you by your hand through tokyo's bustling streets. he turned back to laugh at you and your brain turned to mush. "babe, c'mon! all of tokyo's food isn't gonna eat itself!", the pink-haired boy said as his grip tightened around your hand. yuuji's energy always had you feeling some type of way, like you could run, no, you could FLY and never tire, and today was no different. an excited yuuji woke you up this morning begging to treat you to a day trip to tokyo, and since this morning it's been non-stop. but if you were honest, it's always been nonstop since yuuji has become a part of your life. and truth be told you never wanted it to stop.

Dating Musings

It’s Friday night and while the rest of the world is out eating, drinking, and finding adventure, I’m sitting here with nothing but a bowl of butter chicken, my unfiltered thoughts, and hand swiping right and left on bumble -- reconsidering why on earth I decided sober October was a good idea.

As I sit here swiping, I’m slowly beginning to realize I’m part of the problem. I’m sitting with the protection of my screen, judging people in mere seconds. While, I can claim I’m a decent person and judging people based on more than their looks, lets be real. In those few seconds all I’m thinking is are they decent looking? check. Do they work a 9-5? check. Okay swipe right.

If I despise it so much? Than why do I even take part in it?

Truthfully, because it’s a numbers game. 

We live in a world, where majority of relationships are formed through dating apps. And everyone seems to be on the same apps. I’m sure if I actually looked into it, I’d find that me and my closest friends have been on the same dates with the same guys. So simply put, it’s a numbers game. The more people you date, the more likely you are to stand out against your friends and strangers alike and the more likely you are to be picked as the one.

So I take part in the numbers game. I keep swiping right and left, so I can match with that many more people and go on that many more dates and be that much more likely to find the one.
