Dating a Gryffindor (Headcanons)
Grand Gestures: They are unapologetically dramatic. They will make big, public declarations of affection that will leave you blushing but feeling incredibly special. They are the assholes who will also 1000% let the restaurants know it's your birthday.
Adrenaline Junkies: Dating them is an adventure. Expect spontaneous road trips, hiking, or trying things that are slightly—but safely—dangerous. Don't worry they would never do anything that could possibly end in death. So you're good. Totally...
The "Knight" Complex: They want to save you. They will jump to your defense before they even have all the facts, simply because you are their person. You could be ranting about a coworker who upset you or irritated at and they're nodding like "yeah we hate them."
Stubbornness: Arguments are frequent and loud, but they never hold grudges. They will yell, vent, and then be ready to move on five minutes later as if nothing happened. You two just got done fighting and they will sit next you to you like nothing happened..."so we gonna watch this movie now?"
High Energy: They are constantly on the move. You need to be able to keep up with their pace, or at least be willing to be dragged along for the ride. They are moving so much that sometimes they'll forget you're with them.
Physical Affection: They are very touch-oriented. Expect constant hand-holding, hugs, and being pulled into their lap in front of everyone. They don't care who's watching. They're ALWAYS touching you. If they are getting looks they give a look back. A don't be jealous look.
Honesty: Sometimes they are too honest. They don't know how to sugarcoat, so if you ask for their opinion, you are going to get the blunt, unfiltered truth. So I really hope you're not sensitive. You just have to remember they're not being assholes. They're just very straightforward.
Encouragement: They are your biggest cheerleader. They will stand at the front of the crowd screaming for you during your presentations or games. It can get embarrassing. Let's say you're a soccer player (whatever you want) and you score? They are screaming, cheering, and dancing. Would totally make a sign.
Risk-Taking: They don't fear failure. They will encourage you to quit the job you hate or apply for the position you think is "out of your league." They will spend hours talking to you about it and encourage you. When you finally make the big move? They are with you 100% of the way.
Heart on their Sleeve: You will never have to guess how they feel. If they are mad, you'll know; if they are in love, the whole world will know...I mean the whole world.
