I actually really liked the remodel to Lorelai’s house. To me, it still had the charm that Lorelai is known for, but it looks more... adult, showing that Lorelai is entering into the next phase of her life. The house before the remodel was her life where Lorelai was still a child herself while raising Rory ( the house was mismatched - whatever Lorelai could afford - a lil messy & disorganized ) & then the remodel showed that Lorelai was now a grown woman with a beautiful, young woman for a daughter. She was building a new life now that her daughter had grown up & she was marrying a good man who she loved & wasn’t second-guessing ( like she always did with Chris & others ).
