Warning: Smut with no plot, straight into smut, p in v no protection (wrap it up), edging, semi public sex (in storage closet), cursing, pet names, degrading, receiving and giving oral, implied aftercare, i'm still figurin out smut tags.
Wave after wave of sparks roll through your body. The cramped closet was hot, the lights off making it almost impossible to see anything. Not that sight would really change much; Eric had you pressed up against the cool rock wall, facing away from him. You both were mostly clothed, only bare enough for a quick, desperate, fuck.
Well, it was supposed to be quick. Fortunate or unfortunate, it really depends on the situation and who you are, Eric was a thorough man. You were no exception. Right now, you hoped he wouldn't stop, that this time you'd get to finish.
All day Eric had teased you. The way he touched you, looked at you, gestures, even sparring, Eric weaved in something to ensure you remained hot and bothed. He reveled in the sight of you doing everything in your power not to squirm, and wine in front of the others. He would've kept it up all day, but today patience was not your strongest suit, not when your period just ended and your body famished for a good fuck. You teased Eric in the one way he couldn't ignore, and couldn't resist.
Eric had practically dragged you into that closet and shoved you to your knees. Yet you sucking him off wasn't enough to quell Eric's hunger like he wanted. Especially when you kept figuring out different ways to tease him while your lips were around his cock. At that point, the light in the closet was on, leaving you on perfect display. So he stuffed a cloth in your mouth and laid you on the ground with your head cushioned on his vest. And dammit, tasting your cunt made it worse. It made Eric starved. He wanted to wait, but the way you wined every time he brought you to the brink then backed off. Fuck. You weren't allowed to come; he was supposed to be teaching you a lesson on patience. Perhaps for now, Eric will let that rule slide.
When there was a sound of footsteps, Eric had to force himself away to turn off the lights and ensure the door was locked.
So now here you both are. Bathed in sweat and darkness. Eric has you pressed face first against the wall, your wrists pinned behind your back with his left hand, and his right hand over your mouth to muffle your moans. Eric fucks you from behind, hard, mostly controlled, and fast. Every thrust sent a small spark through your body, leaving you whining, for it wasn't enough.
"So fucking whiny," Eric groans, "as if you aren't the reason we're in this position to begin with." Asshole, you think. "Greedy for my cock. Couldn't even wait till tonight for a proper fucking." Eric slows to a stop, and you cry a little, you didn't need sight to know he grinned. "Use your words, doll, tell me what you want."
Eric's hand falls from your face. "Please," it was pathetic and breathy. You roll your hips, wanting to make those sparks return. Eric groans in response and stills your hips with a firm grip.
Eric grips your jaw, turning your face to his, "Please... what? I don't read minds. Use your words."
"Please," you beg again, "fuck me properly, make me come." You roll your hips again, and Eric whimpers, his hips rolling with yours immediately. He was close.
"Brat," Eric pulls his hand away from your hip to slap your ass. Once more, Eric resumes his thrusts hard and fast, this time with more control. Without Eric's hand to cover your face, your whines are louder now. Those sparks of pleasure return, but just sparks.
"Eric," you whine, getting frustrated.
Eric grips your throat, " You're so fucking needy doll," he presses a kiss to your cheek, his free hand cupping your throat, but slows his hips to hard, but slow rolls.
"Eric, you ass-" you frustrated complaint breaks apart into a moan as Eric grinds against your g-spot.
"What was that?" Eric taunts, "Repeat that for me." But every time you try, Eric grinds against that spot, going faster each time until he's fucking you fast and hard once more. Your moans start to echo through the closet. "Are you trying to get us caught?" Eric scolds, returning his hand to your mouth. Finally, Eric releases your wrists, allowing you to brace yourself against the wall. Your mind turns to mush, as Eric's arm curls around your hip to circle your clit with his middle and ring finger.
Eric's quiet grunts break into a few whimpers, then moans. Eric tucks his face into the crook of your neck to muffle his moans. Waves of pleasure crash through both your bodies, and after several rounds of Eric edging you, you felt the coil in your body ready to snap any moment. You were alomost there, teetering at the edge, the fire ready to consume. But then Eric loses his rhythm, his moans turning breathy and hoarse. Eric stills, his body twitching as he struggles to maintain control.
A sob escapes you, and Eric chuckles. "You'd think I'd forget the way you misbehaved earlier?" Eric groans, and stilflies a whine as he pulls out. "Only good girls get to come."
Before Eric could catch you, you reached behind yourself and gripped Eric's cock. Eric speaks your name in a moan that was meant to come out as a warning. In your grip, Eric's cock was still hard, throbbing, and leaking for your touch. With just a couple strokes, Eric releases a deep broken moan, his head lulling onto the back of your shoulder. In your hand Eric's cock twitches over and over, cum mostly spilling onto the floor with some dripping onto your palm and legs.
"Fuck..." Eric breathes out while regaining his bearings. "Why the hell did you do that?" Eric's voice was slightly rough now, his hands coming to rest on your hips while his thrumbs rub slow circles.
You smile, "Didn't feel like losing this time."
Eric kises the side of your thoat, "I'm far from finished with you, Dove." Eric spins you to face him; not that much was visible in the dark clost. "Enjoy your little victory while it lasts." With that, Eric backs off, his hands leaving your hips. However, before it could feel like Eric left you, the closet light turns on. You wince, squinting your eyes and blinking a couple times until your eyes adjust. Both of you were a sweaty mess. You watch as Eric grabs a clean rag and uses his bottle of water to wet it. "Now let me take care of you, so I can ruin you all over again tonight."

Authors note: To my one coworker who can see my account, don't you mention this to a damn soul. Same goes for all smut I write.
Dauntless initiate Sara Sumner is far more interested in her trainer Eric than she should be, but must accept that anything more than friendship between them is strictly off-limits until she can gain an official place in her faction of choice. As she continues her initiation, revelations about Eric’s past soon come to light, and Sara learns why he keeps himself closed off from others, hiding behind his reputation as a harsh and unforgiving leader.
When the time finally comes for them to embark on a tentative relationship, Sara and Eric are immediately forced to contend with the head of Erudite, Jeanine, whose sinister plot to seek out and destroy Divergents involves recruiting Eric to the cause.
Hii I love your fanfics of eric. I can't stop reading them over and over again. I was wondering if you could make a request of the reader being four younger sisters. Who follows his footsteps and joins Dauntless. She became one of the top fives with Tris, and Peter hates it that is losing by a 5 "1" girl and her friend (I am 5'1') so he attacked them with his friends. Four and Eric come to their aid. After that the reader has nightmares and the reader seek out four but she found eric instead and he helps her feeling safe again.

Following in Tobias' footsteps came naturally to you, the abuse from Marcus, and your bond with Tobias, your brother, were part of the motivation to escape to Dauntless. From the start Peter and his friends had been an annoyance, then there was Tobias... In two years, Tobias had changed greatly, he looked more mature, and broody, obviously more buff too. But it wasn't the physical changes to Tobias that was hard, it was the fact that he went by a knew name, and refused to acknowledge you as his sister. Tobias had looked at you like you were a stranger.
Fortunately, that was only the start of initiation. Naturally, you find yourself with the other Abnegation transfer, Tris, and her friends. The girl was blunt, and tempted death with her questions and little acts of rebellion. Tris was the one who helped you get the confidence to corner Four. With the stress of getting kicked from Dauntless if ranked too low, Four was worried that if the other initiates knew the two of you were related it would put a target on your back. Not only could such information cause rumors and accusations that you're cheating and only above the red line because of Four, but also put your life at risk from initiates willing to kill to not become Factionless. Just as Four did, you had to earn your place in Dauntless. With Tris' help, the two of you began flying through the ranks. Before you knew it, Tris was sixth place, and you were close behind in seventh. As exciting as the news was, the recent attack to Will has left you extremely on edge. Tris believes it was Peter who stabbed Will in the eye. Either way, the door to attacking fellow initiates to eliminate competition has opened. That spell of safety has waned.
It was a couple days after the first phase of training had ended, and there's no telling what the current hour was. Everyone was asleep, then suddenly chaos erupted. "Everyone up!" someone roars out. Behind them a flashlight lights up, it blinds you for a few minutes, and it certainly didn't help that the two figures were right beside your bed. Finally, your eyes adjust to make out Eric and the other Dauntless members surrounding him. With all the chaos of the past few weeks, you rush out of bed so fast, and so close to Eric, that Eric's hand shoots out and grips your arm to steady you. There's an expression on Eric's face that you can't understand, and just as quickly as his hand to steady you, he lets go. "Did you go deaf stiff?" demands Eric, the sudden outburst made you flinch. Around you other initiates were getting out of bed, but Tris was just barely getting up. You then see your brother's gaze is locked on her.
"You have five minutes to get dressed and meet us by the tracks," says Eric. "We're going on another field trip." Eric quickly looks you up and down, then walks out of the room with the other Dauntless members close behind.
After a breath, you turn to your nightstand. "What the fuck just happened?" you mutter out loud. From your nightstand you pull out tactical clothes that would be warm enough of the likely frigid night. Everyone is changing as fast as they can, and soon you're all running through the halls of Dauntless to reach the tracks. Upon reaching the tracks, you make your way to Tris. "What the hell is going on," you whisper to Tris, who shrugs in confusion as a response. Looking over at the Dauntless born initiates, many look confused, however the rest look excited, even Uriah was practically bouncing with excitement. Before you all was a pile of what looked like guns, and beside that pile was boxes labeled "PAINTBALLS."
"Are we going to shoot something?" Christina hisses to Tris' ear. As Tris' gaze landed on the boxes, she laughed.
Taking Tris' laugh as a hint that she might know what, "PAINTBALL," means, you ask, "what is a paintball?"
"Everyone grab a gun," Eric orders
"A ball of paint I guess," Tris replies. You almost roll my eyes at how helpful her answer was. Tris then grabs one of the guns, testing how it felt in her grip, she then grabbed one of the small boxes inside the crate and shoved it into her pocket. "Balls of paint that we shoot," Tris states.
"Is this field trip supposed to be us aggressively painting something?" You ponder, out loud but mostly to yourself. You pick up a gun, and grabbed one of the boxes of paintballs.
You then overhear Eric mutter something to Four, and you try listening in to get answers.
Four looks down at the watch on his wrist. "Any minute now. How long is it going to take you to memorize the train schedule?"
"Why should I, when I have you to remind me of it?" Eric teases, shoving Four's shoulder. Both men had a grin on their faces, which was confusing because you could've sworn they hated each other.
Suddenly, lights begin to shine from behind you, and those lights highlight the features of Eric's face in a way that makes your heart flutter. Seconds later you can hear the train. Eric turns, his gaze locking onto you and catching your stare before you could look away. It's at that moment the train reaches the building, and Eric turns his focus to the moving train. Four is the first to jump on the train, with Eric hot on his heels. Just like the others, you spring into actions and chase the train. Before initiation you almost failed to make it onto the train, but tonight you catch the train almost immediately.
You've barely settled into the car when Four begins to explain capture the flag. And with it, you also realize the paintballs and paintball guns are just a fun way to stimulate guns without the danger of actual bullets.
"We'll be dividing into two teams to play capture the flag." Four states as he and Eric move toward the middle of the train car. "Each team will be an even mix of members. One team will get off first to hide their flag, the second team will do the same afterwards." A dauntless woman wearing a medic patch begins handing out mask to each initiate, the mask was a simple headband with a large visor to cover the face.
We're told to take the game seriously because it's Dauntless tradition, which feels a bit dramatic. A few questions are tossed around, before Eric takes over.
"Four and I will be your team captains," Eric says. For allows Eric to pick first. Beside me, Tris is already leaning against the wall like she expects to be chosen last.
"Peter," Eric says, gesturing for Peter to step behind him.
Four leans against the train door frame, Tris is staring, and he pretends to look us over as if he hasn't already chosen. "The stiff," Four points at Tris, who looks shocked, but is quick to move.
"Got something to prove?" Eric teases. "Well," Eric starts, "since yet get one stiff, I might as well get the other." Eric turns to you, and you stand frozen for a few seconds before finally moving behind Eric. There's a look in Four's eyes as he watches the exchange, surprise, and the glare on a concerned older brother. Eric catches Four's glare, then looks between us trying to asses our relationship. You quickly look out the window, hoping the worst thing that you and Four looked somewhat alike.
Fortunately, Four isn't dumb enough to let the silence last enough for people to become suspicious, and immediately picks another person for his team.
Eventually, the teams are set, Four's team is mostly lean and fast, Eric's is mostly strong and brute. Our team is also the first to jump off the train. The area we land in is just outside the theme park, and is scattered by trees.
Peter and several others are already rambling ideas as Eric leads us deeper into the trees. "I thin the stiff should just go hide in a tree and shoot anyone who gets to close to the flag," Peter turns to you with a grin, "you're so tiny no one would see you, and you'd be out of our way." Peter then begins to ponder, "actually, that gun is just so big compared to you, you're better off watching the perimeter or something. Less risk of losing when you miss your shots. I'm sure you understand-" You cut Peter off with a shot to his diaphragm. Peter drops to the ground and wheezes, Eric watches disinterested.
"You bitch!" Peter shouts, staggering as he stood up.
"Don't yell," Eric scolds, "It'll lead them to us."
Peter looks at Eric with angered surprise, "So you're just going to let her shoot me?" Peter points his finger at you, akin to a child pointing at something they hate.
"You brought that upon yourself Peter. This is dauntless you can't taunt someone then get offended when they bite back." Eric shoots you an approving look turns away, "Clean yourself up, and stop wining. You're wasting time."
It took some debate, but ultimately, it was decided the flag would get hidden up in one of the trees. While Eric did have the final say when it came to our plans, he gave no input or feedback forcing you and the other initiates to come up with the ideas. Because of your small stature and aim, and because of Eric's experience, the two of you were assigned to sneak behind the other team's line to get the flag. Peter and a few other initiates were assigned a similar task, except instead of sneaking behind the enemy, they had to attack the team from in front of them as a distraction.
Walking into the totally-not-creepy abandoned theme park, Peter's team had quickly veered away from your path to handle their task, leaving you and Eric alone. The two of you move almost completely silent, the lack of any light sources also forced you to walk slower. You allowed Eric to lead since he was clearly more familiar with the area. Actually, now that you're watching Eric, the way he moves like a perfect soldier, silent, attentive, fast, and checking corners like it was second nature, Eric was terrifying. You almost felt bad for anyone who'd be on the receiving side of this version of Eric. Your body shivered at the idea of being on the receiving end, being hunted by Eric, the shiver was definitely fear, maybe a hint of something else.
Still a good distance from Four's team, you and Eric hunker down behind some crates, the two of you sit side by side.
"We need to talk about your relationship with Four," Eric suddenly speaks up.
"Huh?" was all you could manage. Turing your face towards Eric, he was staring right at you, his jaw tense.
"Don't act dull," Eric drawls out accusingly. "It's inappropriate to engage with your instructor romantically or sexually."
You stare at Eric, your expression pure bewilderment. "What the fuck are you talking about?'
Eric frowns, "You think I don't see the way Four is always glancing at you and Tris. I vividly saw the way he glared at me on the train earlier. There’s no use in hiding it."
What the actual fuck? You can't even tell what's worse, going against Four's wishes and confessing he's your brother, or letting Eric believe you're a couple. Many excuses bounce around in your mind, unfortunately Eric's glare makes it impossible to think of anything good. "Four..." you pause, already knowing Four is going to beat your ass. "We're siblings," you finally blurt out.
Eric just stares, "oh..." His eyes then dart around as many realizations started falling into place. Eric's shoulders briefly shake like he's holding in a laugh. "And here I was assuming Four had a thing for Stiffs," Eric teases himself.
"Gross," you state.
Before any more discussion can occur, shouts and the sounds of paintball guns being fired rings out. You and Eric spring into action, the two of you charging towards the carousel. Supposedly, Four hid his flag there last year and one, Eric believes Four is the type to try it again. Just as you both reach the carousel, you're forced to duck as paintballs are fired at you.
"How many?" Eric shouts, he's crouched behind a dumpster a few feet away from you.
You risk a glance from behind your food stall, "Five!"
After a minute there’s a break of silence. Realizing your attackers are reloading, you and Eric jump out. The two of you fire at the other initiates while running forward. Soon, they were all put of the game. You rush towards the carousel, Eric close behind you. The flag was hidden on the ceiling, leading to climb onto one of the horses to reach it. However just as you got onto the horse, cheers started to ring out, and a flare is shot into the air. Four won.
The walk back to the train tracks was silent, until Eric and I ran into Peter and a few other initiates. From there, you were walking alone, while Eric joined Peter's group to silently scold Peter. Soon, everyone was congregating at the tracks, waiting for the train. Many initiates were celebrating and boasting, while others were quiet or muttering. Having failed to spot any of your friends, you let yourself drift towards the back of the crowd. Such a simple decision, and yet...
The train soon arrives, everyone begins jumping on. You're among the last to start running towards the train. Just as you jumped, someone rips you backwards by the collar of your shirt. You slam onto your back, and stars flood your vision.
"You and that fucking stiff," a voice spits out, and when you turn to it, the person was wearing a mask and staring down at you. Two other initiates surrounded the man, their faces were also covered. "Do you realize how embarrassing it is to see you, a tiny little girl ranked above me!" It then hits, you recognize that voice, Peter. Peter stomps his foot on your stomach, one of the initiates then shoots a paintball onto the visor of your mask. "Just give up. Leave Dauntless!" This was not just a tactic to scare you, Peter wants you dead, that or with the factionless.
Blindly you stand, someone shoots a paintball into the back of your knee, another punches the side of your ribs. With your visor covered with paint, you were fighting blind. The three initiates took turns shooting and hitting. All you could was tuck your arms against your sides, and try to hold your balance while getting knocked around. The adrenaline was so high that you couldn't even feel the pain.
Finally there's a break, and as you fall forward you realize there is no one blocking your path forward. Peter curses from somewhere behind you, all the while you're charging forwards blindly. Your sight returns as you rip the visor off your face. Looking back, Peter and his gang were already chasing you.
"Get back here you damn runt!" Peter screams out, several paintballs fly your way, some hitting you and the rest hitting the ground and stands around you.
Soon you're running into an old, broken, building, with a worn sign that said "haunted house." The inside was almost pitch-black, the floorboards creaked, or were broken, all sorts of things hung from the ceiling, some quite disturbing. With the sound of footsteps fast approaching, the only option was to keep running forward. With trembling hands pressed against the walls, you remain rushing forward, with barely enough time for caution, looking for and form of a door to escape the building or a room to hide in. Suddenly you foot falls through a floorboard, pain sears through your calf making you cry out.
"I heard her!" One of the men shout.
"Hallway to the left!" another shouts.
With death running towards you, there was no time to focus on wounds. Pushing forward you fall into a tub, the water inside was colder than ice. Frantically you blindly drag yourself out, and gasping for air you fall onto a stiff wooden floor. The footsteps were right behind you. They were right there. They had you.
"Where the fuck is that stiff?" Peter growls out.
What...
"She might be further down the hall. This place is a damn maze," a man rambles out.
How... You lift your gaze from the floor, and find that Peter and his gang hadn't surrounded you. You were in a room, it was dark, but just above the tub of water you just climbed out of was a window. In the low light, you could just barely make out Peter and his gang muttering in confusion in the hall. This room was safe, and the window must be one way, they don't know you're in there. As their footsteps receded, all you could do was lay there, exhausted and numb... you can't help but to close your eyes for a moment...
...
"Four, I found her!"
There's a loud crash, it sounds distant... A bright light hits your eyes, it forces consciousness forward. Something warm and strong envelopes you... a body?
"We have you, you're safe. Four is on his way, just stay with us." That voice was familiar, but soft and comforting, which sounded unlike the man it reminded you of.
"Medics will be here any second. How bad is it Eric?" Four, he was here. You were safe, Four was here... With that you relaxed back into your rest.
...
The rhythmic beeping was the first thing you noticed, it was annoying. Then someone called your name a few times. As you opened your eyes, the room was bright, sterile, and the only way you knew you were still in dauntless was the stone walls, and singular worn down window. Before you was a nurse dressed in Erudite issued scrubs.
"What happened?" you croak out.
The nurse tries to smile, but like any Erudite, it felt fake. "A few of your fellow initiates realized you never made it back to Dauntless after the game. Before anyone could issue a proper search party, Eric and Four had already stolen a car and were driving towards the theme park, where they later found you in an abandoned haunted house. You kept fading in-and-out of consciousness. According to the report you suffered from hypothermia, severe bruising, deep lacerations on the posterior of your left calf, exhaustion, and shock. They kept you as stable as they could until a medical team
arrived and could properly treat you. F-"
You interrupt the nurse, "It was Peter."
The nurse pauses, then goes to speak right as another voice interjects, "Peter or not, we don't have any evidence of what occurred beyond your eyewitness." To your right Eric was sitting in a chair, holding a clipboard. He looked exhausted. "There was very little cameras in that park," Eric continues, "and with the little footage collected, all we saw was three masked people attacking then chasing you."
"You also suffered a concussion, which can often warp memories," the nurse awkwardly adds, "emotions also warp memories, perhaps your dislike towards this Peter made you believe-"
Once more the nurse is interrupted, "I'm sure my initiate already understands, Ms. Stone." Eric turns his attention back to you, "I, Four, and the leaders are handling the situation, but ensuring punishment to your attackers will likely be impossible due to lack of evidence."
You turn you gaze from Eric and the nurse, to the window across from them. Top initiate your ass, you were too weak. All that training and you couldn't even fight back.
Eric calls out your name, making you turn back to him. "You are just an initiate, you have only been taught basic fighting and evading. Don't take this as a sign of weakness, even Dauntless' strongest members have fallen simply because they were outnumbered and ambushed. Your attackers are the weak ones for attacking in such a way." There's a deep scowl on Eric's face, but somehow you know that anger isn't directed to you. "Four will come by later, he's been more worried than a damn mother hen." Eric then leaves.
There's a beat of awkward silence. You then quietly ask the nurse, "catch me up, how long was I out, when can I leave?"
The nurse then grabs the clipboard Eric had been holding. She then begins, "you were unconscious for a day after being brought back to Dauntless. The lacerations on your calf have been stitched, the internal wounds were fortunately minor. You'll remain here for a week, and will receive healing serum daily intravenously. You should make a full recovery and be healed in time for the second stage of initiation. So don't stress about falling behind."
Please, as if that's what worried you most right now.
The nurse mentions someone would bring you food, and left the room for you to rest. Due to how extreme conflicts between dauntless members, and initiates, can get, guards are stationed around the medical wing, and visitors must earn permission to visit patients. Despite this fact, you didn't feel safe.
You had slept though Four's visit, however the plate of chocolate cake and the small note was enough to know he came. The first few days were somewhat easy, for the most part you were so exhausted from healing that you were in ad out of sleep every few hours. Soon though, the exhaustion waned enough for dreams to start forming in your rest, however those dreams quickly turned into nothing but nightmares. Anxiety became such a strongly stirring emotion that you even heard the nurses tell Eric and Four. Neither men said anything about it, but then again they were so busy, and giving too much attention to an initiate would just lead to dangerous rumors. You felt like a sitting duck inside your room, what if Peter climbed in through the window, what if he got past the guards, was there even a point to all this healing if he's just going to try killing you again? That fear also lead to doubt, were you even strong enough to be a part of Dauntless?
Finally one night, you had enough. You had woken up screaming from your last nightmare, you're getting such little sleep that the nurses had stated debating sleeping medications, even peace serum. Yet, despite your drowsy state, you successfully snuck out of the medical wing. For a long while you walked aimlessly, trying to think of places where our may be at such an hour. Eventually you found yourself near the exit of the Dauntless building. You should stay inside, both because of the rules against initiates leaving alone, and it was bound to be cold out. Four definitely won't be out there. And yet instead of venturing down further into the dauntless headquarters, you walked outside.
The weather outside was frigid, small flurries fell from the night sky, even in the sweats and sweater provided by the medical staff, you still shivered, and your thin socks did nothing to keep the cold out. But it was a change from that desolate, bland, room. The cold finally brought your thoughts away from Peter. For now you walked mindlessly, watching the little flurries fall, and taking in the silence of the night. There's no telling how long you walked out there, you mind had already lost it's connection to reality.
Suddenly a voice rings out, "What the hell are you doing out here?" You whirl around to find Eric, he was dressed in thick winter gear and marching towards you. You stand your ground, and Eric doesn't stop until he's less than a foot away. For the first time Eric looked scared. "Four saw you sneaking out of the medical wing, wondering the halls then coming out here. So what the hell are you doing. We've been looking for you for an hour," Eric scolds
"Couldn't sleep," you mumble.
"Initiate," Eric huffs to rein in his anger, and worry. Eric then speaks again, "It is freezing out here, and your wearing socks on freezing wet ground with a thin sweater. Do you want hypothermia!" Eric steps closer, you could now feel how warm he was. "Why are you out here, you need to be resting."
You frown, "I couldn't sleep, and that room felt suffocating, I needed fresh air."
"You're dancing around my question,” Eric scolds. Eric takes off his beanie, making his usually perfectly gelled hair stick out in awkward spots, Eric then shoves the beanie onto your head. "You will tell me what is going on, but first I need you out of this cold air." Eric then sheds his thick jacket and wraps it around you. Before you can protest, Eric then scoops you into his arms, one arm under your knees, and the other behind your back. For a second, Eric is still enough to send a message to Four through his phone.
"What the fuck-" you start to protest, squirming in Eric's grip.
"Would you rather I carry over my shoulder like a sack?" Eric scolds. "Your body is clearly exhausted and I don't trust that you won't run back out here once I turn my back," Eric states.
Eventually you settle, and soon you and Eric are back inside the Dauntless building. Eric doesn't carry you back to the medical wing. You're too mentally disconnected from reality to think on it. Soon, the empty halls turn into corridors you begin to realize these were apartments. Based on the glare on Eric's face, you decide now is not the time for questions. The more your brain settles back into reality, the more you realize how cold and exhausted you feel. When you lean against Eric for warmth, he hastens his pace, and mutters something to himself.
Finally, Eric reaches a door, presses his thumb to a scanner on the lock and shoves into the apartment. There's barely a change to take in the apartment before your being dumped onto a couch. Eric quickly drapes a thick blanket over you, then steps away to light the fireplace across from you.
"Fancy," you mutter, body still shivering. Eric looks your away, assessing you clinically, then quickly walks to his kitchen. As Eric starts to cook, you turn your gaze to what you guess is his home. The apartment is simple, massive windows do however take up one wall, there's three doors, presumably leading to a bedroom, bathroom, and perhaps closet. The warm smell of chocolate fills the room, as well a soup.
You turn to see Eric approaching the couch shirtless. And damn your eyes did not behave. Thank gods Eric did nothing but smirk at the way your eyes traced everything down to the v, the scars, abs, tattoos. Then those arms, you've seen them many times, but this time it was different.
Eric breaks your thoughts, "It's quite scandalous staring at your instructor like that." Immediately, you hide your flushed face in your arms. There's the faint sound of glassware and silverware being placed on the wooden coffee table by the couch. "Let me in," Eric's voice was soft now, deep. When you don't react fast enough, Eric is manhandling you again, until he lays beneath you with you against his chest. "Take your sweater off, or don't, but I can warm you up better through skin to skin contact." Ultimately you decided to keep the sweater on.
Eric wraps a strong arm around your waist, and leans forward to pull the coffee table up against the couch, leaving the two mugs of hot chocolate and bowls of soup in reach. Eric then places a bowl in your lap, dips a spoon in, and brings the spoon of soup to your lips. Eric then softly orders, "eat, your need the energy and warmth."
You lean away from the spoon into Eric's chest, "I'm fine, and I don't need you to spoon feed me."
"Be grateful I'm not already force feeding you," Eric warns lowly, "now eat."
Heading Eric's warning, you ate. The soup was... good, not a favorite though. After the second bite of soup, you have to rip the spoon from Eric's hand to feed yourself. Eric then immediately wraps his freed hand around your waist.
The silence stretches for a while, with only the crackle of fire and the clink of utensils filling the background. But then Eric breaks that silence with a soft, "talk to me." There was so much worry with Eric's tone that you doubted reality for a moment.
"Why do your care?" The words were meant to come out as a bite, but just came out weak.
Eric brings a hand to your cheek, it was rough, but warm, he then gently tilts your face to his. "Use that clever brain of yours," Eric's eyes drop to your lips, "or would you rather I spell it out."
Finally it clicks, "you like me..."
Eric smiles and strokes your cheek with his thumb, "I had hoped to tell you under better circumstances. And while I really want to bask in finally telling you, and to know if you even like me back, I need to know if you're okay. So please, talk to me." Hearing Eric plead, perhaps this wasn't real... still, perhaps it would be nice to relive some weight from your shoulders. Eric has already been this vulnerable.
Your gaze drifts to your hands, it was easier to speak while looking away from those stormy grey eyes. "I haven't slept..." you mumble. Eric's hand lightly trails down your cheek to your arm and rests there. "I keep having nightmares," you speak a little louder now. "I-" you stutter a bit, "I don't feel safe... what if he tries to hurt me again?"
"Peter," Eric quietly mumbles the question he already has an answer for. "That's why you started screaming in your sleep." Eric's voice was still so gentle as he read your fear, "you're scared he'll break in and hurt you when you're most vulnerable. You felt so cooped up in that hospital room, that you needed to break out," you ball up your fists to hold back tears.
"It felt safer going outside because I knew Peter wouldn't be there," a small sob breaks past your lips. "I'm sorry for being so weak."
Eric wraps his arms tightly around you, and tugs you harder against him. Eric's lips press to your forehead as he sternly speaks, "everyone has moments to weakness, those moments don't define your strength, it's your decision to give in or overcome it that defines you. Many things terrify me, and for a long time it controlled me. Many of those things still scare me, but I no longer let them consume me." Eric's hands rise to your cheeks, "Dauntless isn't a lack of fear, it is a willingness to push through it. I will be with you every step of the way if you'll let me."
Eric allows the silence to stay, his hands drift from your cheeks, one arm wrapping loosely around your waist and the other returning the bowl to the coffee table. Eventually, you lay your head on Eric's chest and closed your eyes, "I'm so tired."
Eric's arm tightens around your waist, his other hand rests atop the back of your head. "You have been through a lot, it's okay," Eric whispers. Eric then shifts both your bodies into a laying position, with him still under you. Eric then brings his hand from your head to your face to wipe your tears, "rest. Here in my arms you are safe. No one can hurt you here," his voice was like a lullaby.
"I like you too," you whisper, finally answering the question that had plagued Eric for so long.
As you succumbed to rest, the last thing you saw was Eric's smile, and the feeling of his hand rubbing your back. A blanket of warmth.

She's All That pt.1
Pt2. Request page. Masterlist
Warnings ⚠️: Getting dared to pretend to date someone, implied violence, jealousy,
"Eric, with all so respect, you're a Dauntless leader, yet you've been single since day one." The music in the bar is so loud that for a moment Eric almost didn't hear him.
"Personally James, I don't see how that's relevant. I have enough hookups to satisfy me plenty, I don't need some girl or whatever. Relationships I just a bothersome hassle."
"I bet you don't have a single romantic bone in your body."
"That's what you think, James," the bartender hands Eric a plate of food and leaves her number on the receipt. "Now if I were an unromantic man, that woman wouldn't have given me her number just now."
"Okay whatever, we both know you're good at getting men and women into your bed, but can you handle a full on relationship?"
"Yes, I just prefer not to, I don't need it" Eric shrugs.
James smirks and holds up his wallet. "Prove it then, date y/n then, the ex Erudite girl from your iniation class. You don't have to love her back, just make her love you. Do it and I'll pay for your next tattoo."
"Fine, how long do I have?"
"I'll give you about a month."
"Then we have deal James."
Is drinking by the chasm stupid? Yes. Do I care? Absolutely not, not when I've been on a week long trip to Amity to handle Dauntless soldiers who forgot their mission and decided to play with the Amity girls. My job is to train and direct Dauntless soldiers, yet most days I find myself spanking ass because they don't know how to behave.
"God I should've stayed in Erudite." I groan. Obviously it isn't true, the people there were cruel, liars, manipulators, vain, but I must admit I missed all the reading and research I'd done throughout my time there.
"Saying stuff like that would get you killed," I damn near jump out of my skin at the sound of the deep rumbling voice behind me. I turn around to see Eric standing right behind me. He wraps an arm around my waist to stable me, and guide me away from the chasm as I sway. "Long day?"
"More like a long week," my hard scowl meets his cold grey eyes, "What do you want Eric?"
He looks at me with a prideful expression, "I wish to take you out on a date. Don't worry about work tomorrow I'm assigning you a day off."
I scoff, taking another sip of my drink. "Me? Hookup with you? Not interested."
Eric falters for a moment, a small tick in his jaw, before returning to that prideful arrogance. "Good, I'm not interested in a hookup. Meet me tomorrow at 8pm by the train, I'd like to get to know you, nerdy and all."
Before I could even argue he walks away, that entitled ass really thinks I'll just go where he tells me because he said it's a date. I wonder if he uses that method with every girl he hooks up with. Either way I'm not going.
"I'm not going." I remind myself for the uptinth time today. I'm laying on my stomach atop a skyscraper, sniper rifle in hand. Every shooting range in Dauntless is underground except for the rifle range. Every target is at least a mile away, and every night they're moved to a new spot, hidden somewhere on the streets below, or hidden in a new room within the buildings around me. Sometimes, the targets are put on conveyors so they move around, and sometimes some are hidden so well you can only see a tiny sliver. To handle a gun that can shoot from miles away takes practice, and extreme smarts. Constantly I must calculate how the wind may effect my bullet, how far before gravity pulls it down, the most effective place to hit a target, arm to disarm, leg to stop them from running, chest or head to kill.
Only 7 people here in Dauntless have been trained and can handle a rifle and I'm one of those seven. It's one of the few jobs I can use to challenge myself. Kinda fascinating how using a gun takes so much math and knowledge in physics. None the less, I still train at least twice a week like the others.
I'm not fucking going! BANG!! My gun jerke violently, the bullet flies through the air landing perfectly onto the head of a far away target.
I look at my watch, "6:15." I'm not fucking going.
I readjust. BANG!!
I wonder what Eric could possibly have in mind for our date. Wait, why the fuck should I even care? I'm not even going.
It would be rude to stand him up though, and maybe he does actually like me, maybe he's finally going to be in a relationship and he actually chose me. I scoff, nah that's fucking stupid, as if Eric would think to pick me our of all the women already obsessed with him. I'm sure he'll live if stand him up.
BANG!! I miss by a whole 5 feet. "Fucker."
BANG!! I miss again...
It's 7:58, I'm standing by the train tracks wearing my nicest black dress, combat boots, and my favorite gun and dagger holstered to my thigh beneath the skirt of my dress. I even did my makeup. Fuck me, why the Hell did I fall for this crap?
I watch the train approach. "Where the Hell is Eric? Is this a prank?" I fail to hear the frantic footsteps from behind me. I barely have time to process anything before there's an arm around my waist and I'm getting dragged into a train car.
"Sorry I'm late, had some last second paperwork to handle. Thank God I made it in time to catch the train. You okay?" Eric is wearing his typical black cargo pants, combat boots, his black shirt is tight fitting and pared with a black jacket, his hair is in it's signature style and everything. Why the Hell am I about to swoon?
"I'm uh, yeah I'm fine." I tuck a stray strand of hair behind my ear as I regain my footing. "For a moment I was scared you stood me up."
Eric scoffs, "Stand up a beautiful girl like you? I'd rather punch a brick wall." He sits down on the threshold of the door, letting his legs dangle out of the traincar as we race through the city. "Come sit," he pats his thigh.
If he's dissapointed I didn't sit on his lap he doesn't show it as I sit across from him. Unlike him I keep my legs inside the train car. "So uh..." I click my tounge, "why did you ask me out in a date, and why did you do it without the intent of hooking up? Last time I checked you never had time for a girlfriend."
"You've never been asked out before-"
"Oh so you're asking me out as a joke? Or pity? Because I'm not staying if that's the case." Eric appears to panic for a moment and quickly grips my shoulder as I try to stand.
"I wasn't finished," he states defensively, Eric's eyes stare deep into mine, their color cold as a winter storm, yet my cheeks warm and my heart stutters. I should probably check that with a doctor. "You and I came to Dauntless and went through iniation at the same time, if I recall correctly you ranked 10th place out of 35 initiates. Now you're not only training and directing Dauntless soldiers, but you're also apart of the only seven people here in Dauntless capable of handling a sniper rifle. I think I have every reason to be curious about you, because the fact that nobody has asked you out is baffling, especially considering how stunning and powerful you are."
Never have I expected a man like Eric to say such words. Stunning? Powerful? I know I'm strong, no idea where he gets the idea I have good looks, but honestly, I feel like I'm the hottest girl in Dauntless after hearing those words. Eric's hand rests atop mine, warm, strong, calloused from rigorous training, his eyes seem to trace my face, and suddenly I'm 16 and freshly transferred to Dauntless again. Eric was terrifying, but hot back then, he still is now just more tame.
I soon realize I've been gaping like a damn fish for minutes now and Eric's small chuckle breaks me from my trance. "I take it nobody has told you that before," he brings a hand to my cheek, his expression soft, "let me be the one to change that, to show and tell you just how amazing you are."
I used to imagine how his lips would taste. t
Then I turned 17 and pushed it from my mind because I was convinced Eric would never love me. He would always be too busy chasing tail to even notice me. But now his eyes are on my lips, his tounge even darts out for a moment to lick his bottom lip. He then looks back at my eyes, he leans in the hand on my cheek pulling me closer. "You smell like strawberries." Our lips are almost touching, his warm breath fanning across my jaw, he smells like gunpowder, cedarwood, and whiskey. I can barely hear anything over my pounding heart. I close my eyes, leaning forward to close the distance between us.
"Shit!" I open my eyes as Eric frantically pulls himself away from the door and the traincar is encased in darkness for several seconds until we leave the small tunnel. "Fuck," Eric laughs, "nearly lost my damn leg." I can't help but to laugh with him.
"That would certainly be quite the traumatic first date." We settle down again the wall both looking out the open door across from us. "How about we just keep all our limbs inside the train for now?" Eric sighs, and we both relax taking in the sight and sounds of the dark clouds rolling in and the distance thunder. The train rolls through the miles of green, flat land between the city and Amity. You can still see the bright lights of the Erudite buildings. It's peaceful, and I can't help but just enjoy the moment rather than talk.
"I once lit my hand on fire." Eric says it so casually as if he were talking about the damn weather.
"You what! Please do tell." I smile like a little kid excited for candy. Eric smiles back and dives into the story of how in chemistry he accidentally covered his hand in lighter fluid, then instead of washing it off he thought it faster to just burn it off. Fortunately the fire lit and burnt out too quick to cause any permanent damage.
It's pouring by the time the train reaches the Dauntless sector. Eric jumps off, then I jump right after. I barely have time to finish standing before he's wrapping his jacket around me. "I would hate for you to catch a cold. Now let me walk you home."
I'm starting to think this is a dream.
Asking her out was one thing, I never meant to get attached. We've been dating for almost a month now. Every time I see her my heart stops, and all I can do is admire her like some dumb schoolboy with a crush. Never in my life did I think I could actually fall in love, and never did I think I would stay up all night imagining what it would be like to kiss a girl, let alone replaying the sound of her laughter in my mind over and over. She's strong, smart as Hell, arguably smarter than me, and gorgeous, so fucking gorgeous I could drown in her arms. Honestly if she suffocated me I'd probably thank the damn woman.
"I'm fucked, I'm so utterly fucked." I spend maybe another hour in bed with nothing but my boxers on. I'm already running late, but fuck it, it won't kill Max if I'm late for work just once.
I'm quick to change clothes and rushed out of my home to search for y/n. I find her in the training room running a small squad through some drills. Without a single care I kiss her cheek, "Good morning, my dagger. Sorry for interrupting, but I just needed a small taste of you to get through my day." Her cheeks are dusted in red, and fuck she's just so damn cute it stabs my heart, and then her expression snaps back to stone and she shoos me away.
I catch James in the small squad of men, he's smiling and my heart drops as I remember our bet. I take my time walking up to my office. "How the Hell am I going to escape this?"
Today was exhausting, and I received far to many lewd comments about my relationship with Eric than I'd like. But now I can finally go visit Eric at the bar. For a guy known to be heartless and terrifying he's an amazing boyfriend.
Many people, especially Four, had warned me that Eric was likely dating me as a joke, but I highly doubt he'd continue fake dating me for a whole month as a joke. It's definitely not a joke. Yeah he can be mean, really mean, and cruel, especially to initiates, and yes he's heartless to seemingly everyone here in Dauntless but he has exceptions for certain people... I'm important to him, he's not dating me as a joke, sure he's capable of being that cruel but... he isn't doing that... right?
I try to shake the uneasy thoughts from my head, their just stupid fears, that's all. I pull on Eric's jacket and quickly make my way down to the bar.
I've been sitting alone at this table for nearly 20 minutes, and I can feel the eyes on me. My stomach is a storm of unease, and my doubt is ever growing. This isn't the first time Eric has been late to a date. When we first started dating, he had been cocky, full of himself, half the time it sounded like he was trying to talk me into bed. Despite our first date, it had taken me a while to finally, truly open up to him, to trust him, and believe he wouldn't hurt me. Yet here I am, sitting alone at a table a week later.
It's been a fucking hour, and I swear I can hear the whispers, feel the eyes. The waitress looks at me with contempt, as if she's won something and I lost at whatever she was winning it. My unease eventually turns to frustration and soon I'm walking through the dimly lit halls in search of Eric.
"Fuck me man, and here I thought you were incapable of a relationship." James, without a damn doubt that's his voice.
"Well I'm full of surprises." Eric? That's definitely him. Why the Hell is he with James instead of me, and why are they talking about relationships?
I stalk closer to where I'd heard them speaking, James is running his mouth about a girl's ass making it easy for me to find the two men, and watch them while remaining unseen.
"Have you both kissed, better yet fucked?" James asks and it makes my stomach turn sour. Kissing is fine, but asking about my sex life is not. Not that I have one, yet.
Eric huffs, "no we haven't had sex, and unless you count kissing on the cheek, then we haven't kissed yet."
"Ah, so in that case it isn't love." James has a concerningly victorious look.
"Just because we haven't kissed doesn't mean she isn't in love with me. She's never kissed a guy before, let alone have sex." Eric sounds somewhat annoyed.
"Well damn, a virgin, and unkisssed, I think I may need a taste myself. It's been awhile since I've tried a girl like that. Though-"
"James," Eric warns, his voice deep and posture tense. I wish I could see Eric's face, but all I can see is his back.
"Fine, fine, so you claim she's in love with you. Now I can argue that, but I saw the way that girl looked at you when you visited her last week. She looked at you the way a girl looks at a puppy." James shrugs, and then his eyes lock with mine and he smiles. "It seems I've lost our bet Eric. You can be romantic, and you are capable of making any girl, even ugly miss grumpy, genuinely fall for you. I can't wait to watch her face and see her cry when you tell her you're whole relationship has been fake."
"James-"
"Then aging you should definitely keep dating her. Think about it, maybe she'll stop being so closed off and grumpy, better yet, she'll stop being so strict on my squad. Perhaps you can make her give me a few promotions."
"Playing with her emotions to make her date me and fall in love was-"
I don't think, I just run. I don't stop running, not until my legs give out and I find myself sitting in a train car. That asshole! I trusted him, I loved him, and yet that fucker was using me for his own sick gain! My comm link keeps ringing, and in my frustration I stupidly throw it out of the train.
I'm crying so hard I can barely breathe, my chest hurts like Hell, and my vision is so blurry from tears that I can barely see shit. It was fake, it was all fake. Everything he said was fake! I was nothing to him! Absolutely nothing!
I curl up, and I hate myself for doing it, but I pull his jacket tighter around me. "Gods how can I be so fucking stupid... they warned me, so many fucking times and I ignored them like an idiot."
The sun is rising by the time I get off the train. It's freezing cold, snow covers the street and snowflakes fall from the sky. I glance at the cameras as I walk back to the compound. No doubt Four is watching me through them, or is already at my apartment with a whole essay of a lecture awaiting me. I don't even know if I have the energy to keep walking. So I just lean against a brick wall inside an alley.
I don't know how much time has passed, I'm shivering uncontrollably but I just can't seem to move.
"Y/n." His voice is deep, soft, and full of warmth and I find myself crying all over again.
"Four, I... you were right I-" He interrupts me with a tight hug and kisses my forehead.
"Later, let's just get you home and warm." Four bundles me up in a spare jacket and scarf he brought before picking me up and carrying me home. The exhaustion hits me hard and I unwillingly let myself drift asleep.
I'm bundled in thick warm blankets when I wake up, two warm hands hold one of mine. I finally open my eyes. I'm in my bedroom, Four is leaning against the wall near my door, his knuckles scabbed, and splattered with blood. Confused I look to my left to see who the Hell is holding my hand. To my suprise it's Eric. His gaze is locked on our hands, eyes are rimmed in red, bruises decorate his jaw, right eye, and possibly other places, even his nose looks broken.
"Why the fuck are you here?" Eric's head snaps up and he looks at me in such a way that I'm convinced he actually does love me.
"I'm sorry. I'm so fucking sorry, what happened- no, what I did was wrong. You didn't deserve any of that." A tear slips down his cheek and I roll my eyes at his pathetic attempt of gaining my pity. "Yes, James and I made a bet with him betting I couldn't make you fall in love with me. It was wrong, and it was cruel for me to manipulate you like that-"
"Get out." I snap.
"Hear him out, trust me," Four interrupts. "We both know Eric isn't the guy to let himself get beat up, especially without throwing at least one punch back." It dons on me that Four beat the shit out of Eric, but that's not what suprises me, it's the fact that Four is utterly unscathed. Eric actually let Four beat him up after what he did to me.
"I- at first it was fun, but then I started to develop feelings and holy shit I fell. I fell hard and fast and I didn't know what to do." Eric's voice breaks and he looks away from me. "You were like a goddam dagger, burrowed deep into my heart and seared into my brain. I thought, maybe to could just let myself win the bet instead of calling it off, you'd never have to know and we'd get to keep dating. You don't have to forgive me, but please know ever I've told you, it was the truth and I do love you. I love you so much it hurts."
"A part of me wants to believe you, Eric. However, the other part of me knows you're nothing more than a lying manipulative snake. I don't want to ever see you again, don't talk to me, don't even look at me."
Defeated Eric finally rids himself from my room.
"What happened to James?" I ask Four.
Four smiles, "Eric broke his jaw."
I sigh, deep in thought, "Did Eric actually let you hit him."
"Pretty much. I found him outside frantically looking for you, I punched first before asking questions. I had already seen all I needed to through the cameras. He didn't fight back once, just stood there and took my beating. I yelled st him for quite a bit before dragging his ass here then returning to the security cameras and waiting for you to step off the train."
"Four?"
"Yes?"
"Thank you. And if I ever act that stupid again, slap the shit out of me."
Synopsis: After getting Dauntless on her aptitude test, a girl happily takes the opportunity to escape her suffocating life as the "perfect" daughter of a Candor lawyer and leader. (Snarky ex rich Candor girl x Four)
Warnings: Implied abuse, death, father speaks hurtful words to his daughter on visiting day.
Today is the most important day of my life, and to no one's suprise my parents demand I look my utter best, and of course, wear a dress. Personally, I think a dress is probably the worst thing to wear for what I have planned, but I guess I'll make do.
I grab a long bodycon dress. It's black, the fabric thin and breathable with a square neckline and a hem that reaches my mid shin, along with a slit trailing up to my mid thigh. Black because my parents will likely view me as dead after today, I'll be dead to them for my betrayal. Also I don't want anyone at my new faction to see my sweat. I pair my dress with black square-toe flats, then for the final touch pulled on a short white jacket with black accents.
I can not wait to leave.
Yes, the luxury of rich parents is nice, we have a penthouse, nice view, parties, but trust me, this grass is only spray painted green. My mother is a part of the Candor Council and my father a lawyer. They know how people work and what makes them tick. They know how to tell a truth with multiple meanings.
If asked what faction they hope I join, they reply, "I believe and hope she will choose the proper faction for her." Everyone thinks they're supportive of any future I take, but they're not. To them Candor is the perfect faction for me because Candor is perfection, Erudite is proper and still a good option because they work with math and science which goes perfectly hand in hand with truth, Amity and Abnegation are strange but a peaceful option, Dauntless... well, they hate Dauntless. To them, Dauntless are chaotic ruffians with hardly no law or education. This is somewhat true because many choose to ignore and even skip classes while young.
After breakfast, I meet my parents beside their car, it's sleek and white with a black trim. We exchange brief conversation, mom and dad prattle on about how Candor and Erudite are such perfect factions for me and how they believe I'll make the proper choice for myself and them. And I'm all too happy to leave the car once we arrive at The Hub. The tallest building in the city, and I'm quite thankful we arrived early because that means the elevators aren't as full. Unfortunately, that means I must also converse a bunch before the ceremony.
"Mother, I feel stressed about today, may I sit down instead of talking to everyone," I ask calmy.
"No, now go speak with Ms. Matthew and the other Erudites. If you're planning to transfer out of Candor, It's best you make a good relationship before joining them," my mother orders, her eyes feel like steel coiling around my throat, preventing me from giving any form of retort.
It feels like days have past, but really it was only an hour before Johanna makes her speech and began the ceremony. Johanna is the leader of Amity. With every name she calls, my heart seems to beat faster and faster as she gets closer to my name.
"... Verity." I stand and walk to the center stage. Each movement is controlled, perfect, exactly the way my parents want it to be. Candor is the perfect option, Erudite is the proper choice... I'm tired of it.
Just because you can only speak truth doesn't mean you can't manipulate. That's the issue with my faction, everyone here thinks their perfect and even pure simply because they don't lie. They're convinced that by eliminating lies they have eliminated evil.
But truth does not eliminate evil, a pacifist cannot do anything to stop evil when it steps on their door, being smart simply works as a gun for good and evil to wield. Brains, truth, pacifism, none of that eradicates evil, nor does it stop it from forming...
I cut my palm letting my blood sizzle onto the hot coals below.
But a good punch can certainly make it fuck off for a bit.
Thank God I wore this dress, otherwise I would've never been able to run and jump onto the train. The sound of the running train deafens the sound of people talking around me. It was so loud that I almost didn't hear the warning about us jumping off. I don't pay much attention to Dauntless. All my life, I've tried to avoid them and their chaos, but even I knew they don't wait for trains to stop before jumping.
"Where are we jumping!" I yell, but no one answered. I lean my head out the door and to my shock, "Are they trying to kill us!?"
I'm supposed to jump off a moving train onto a damn building! What the actual fuck?
"Scared princess?" I turn to see an Erudite boy with blonde hair and blue eyes, height wise, I can only reach his shoulder. He moves to stand behind me, "Need me to give you a push."
I promptly stomp my heel on the toe of his shoe and backed away from the door, "Hard pass prince charming." The boy glares at me before returning his attention to the door. When it comes time to jump, he turns around to flash me a smile. I smiled back, then ran forward as fast as I could and jumped off the train.
Time slowed, initiates seemed to float in the air beside me, all wearing colors of black, blue, and white, I made the mistake of looking down and my body filled with cold terror. What if I don't make it. The ledge is getting closer and closer, fuck. Did I jump too early?
SMACK!
I slip on the gravel as I land, I slide down hard onto the right side of my body, no doubt covering my right forearm and lower legs in scratches, my teeth smack together as my jaw rams into the ground. "Fuck..."
"Agreed," someone groans out beside me, and I turn to see the Erudite boy from earlier sprawled out on his back. Two screams burst out behind us, and I jump up and turn to see several people crowd around the ledge. "Don't look."
"Don't tell me what to do," I snapped at the boy and watched as an Amity boy was hauled onto the roof. I peer over the ledge, someone's hand grabs my wrist and hauls me back. Unfortunately, it was not fast enough to see the dead person who failed to make it onto the roof. I press my hands to my face, trying to calm my breathing. Someone hugs me from the side, their hand rubbing my shoulder.
"Alright listen up!" I pull away from the person, only giving a quick enough glance to see they're a Dauntless born. I then look to the person speaking. "I'm Eric, I am one of your leaders. If you want to enter Dauntless, this is the way in. He stands atop the roof ledge. He wears all black, vest, shirt, pants, two peircings above his left brow and one per ear, his hair cropped at the sides and slicked back. "And if you don't have the guts to jump... then you don't belong in Dauntless. Someone's gotta be first. Who's it gonna be." The man jumps down from the ledge, watching us with a critical eye.
"So what, we jump on a moving train, jump off a moving train onto a rooftop, and now you want us to jump off the roof?" I scoff, and cross my arms.
Eric smirks, "thanks for volunteering." He swings his arm out, inviting me forward and as much as I want to back down Eric's body language, especially his eyes, warn me that backing down like a coward is definitely not the safest of my options. So I mutter a curse under my breath and walk forward.
With shaking hands I climb onto the ledge. If there's one thing I know, the longer you wait the more the anxiety builds. So with my back to the small crowd, I cast them a glace over my shoulder before looking down at the gaping hole before me and jumped.
A scream tore through my lips as I plummeted. For a moment I thought I might die, that Eric would use me as an example of what not to do as a Dauntless initiate. I would be remembered as the dumb initiate that jumped because she was told too.
I pass through the lip of the hole and to my supries saw dim lights. I had barely any time to think on it before I slammed into a net and bounced several times. And once the bouncing stopped, I lay there, trying to gather my senses. My ears pick up joyus whoops and hollers, then hands appear. They wrap around my arms and drag me from the net. I find myself standing before a tall man, brown hair, brown eyes, a shadow of hair across his jaw, and defined facial features.
"You alright," his voice is deep, with a hint of a rumble, "Did you get pushed."
I scoffed, "No, I jumped. Somewhat unwillingly. Tell the Eric guy he's a dickbag for me."
"Straight to the point I see, then again you're from Candor. If I were you, I'd be more careful about the way you speak about your superiors," he warns, then lets go of my arm. "You got a name?"
"Obviously, I have a name, it's ... Verity." The man nods, announcing my name and that I'm the first jumper before telling me to stand by the wall. A few moments later the Erudite boy falls.
"Damien! Second jumper!" The man announces. More cheers and Damien jobs over to me with a blinding smile.
"Only fair the prince follows the princess so she isn't alone," Damien teases.
"So what prince are you? Brother, or wannabe lover?" I deadpan.
Damien clicks his tongue, "I'm gay so obviously, brotherly."
"If you ever try or even joke about pushing me off a moving train, I will kill you."
"That's fair," Damien shrugs.
We remain standing side-by-side as the remainder of initiates jump. About 23 total, 11 transfer, and 12 Dauntless born. The twelve Daniel born are taken away by a woman instructor whom I've already forgotten the name of, while the brown hair guy calls the rest of us over to him.
"My name is Four," he announces, and I stifle a chuckle that makes Damien roll his eyes, "Mind telling me what's so funny?"
"Of all the names a man could choose, and you name yourself Four. Are there people named One, Two, and Three running around that you call siblings?" I grin, and Damien mutters something under his breath.
Four stalks forward, the initiates around me back away giving him space, bringing his face close to mine he speaks, "If you plan to survive here, then keep your mouth shut. Don't make me warn you again." Four's voice came out like a deep rumble, and I couldn't tell if I was scared or really attracted to it.
When Four walks away, Damien elbows me in the side, "Ow."
"Do you have a death wish?" He half-whispers.
I shrug and turn my attention to Four as he gives us a tour of Dauntless, pointing out the chasm, hub, cafeteria, and the dorms. I grimace at the sight of the hideous concrete room, metal cots, communal bathroom, at least the showers and bathrooms had a private stall for each one. If I'm lucky, I can snag a stall to change in during morning and night.
Four notices my obvious look of disgus. "Too much for you, princess? I thought you enjoyed luxurious suites like this room?" He mocks, and I resist the urge to punch his gut.
"It's quite lovely actually," I bite back, "in fact, it quite matches your sparkling personality."
Four goes to retort but is interrupted by a boy Candor transfer, "When do you get our uniforms?"
"You don't," Four replies, "depending on your rank, and skill shown throughout training you will earn points that you can exchange for clothes, body modifications, makeup, and whatever the hell else you want to spend it on. Now go pick a bunk and come to the cafeteria for dinner," Four orders.
Watching Four go over various kicks, punches, blocks, and forms is starting to make me wish I went against my parents demands and wore pants. Earlier this morning Eric had informed us the lowest five preforming inmates get kicked. I had almost spoke up against that rule, but thought better of it knowing Eric was a leader, he could probably kick me out for just looking at him wrong. It's a stupid rule, especially because as far as I'm aware Dauntless doesn't have any overpopulation issues.
Four finally dismisses us to the punching bags, and my legs protest every step. He and Eric took us on a quarter mile run. I barely survived. Next week it'll be half a mile. I definitely won't survive that.
Once at my bag I move into a fighting stance, feet spread, from foot pointed at the bag, back foot planted on the ground perpendicular to the front foot. My hits are weak, my form certainly not the best. Right now I want nothing more than a hot shower and my b-
"With a form like that you won't survive the matches starting tomorrow," a low voice speaks behind me. I turn to see Four, his gaze critiquing my posture, his arms crossed.
"What's it to you?" I snap.
Four rolls his shoulders then reaches out to shrink my too-wide stance, bring my fist closer to my jaw. "There. Unless you want to get hit, keep your fists up so you can block your sides and head with your forearms. Also don't make your stance so wide, not only do you look stupid, it makes moving and kicking alot harder." Four pulls away and moves to stand beside me, "As for why I care. I'm your instructor, it's my job to prevent as much of you from failing as possible. Now hit the bag is if it's someone you hate."
"So pretend I'm hitting you. Got it," I quip. Four only offers a few critiques and tips before walking away. I try to focus, but honestly my mind seems more focused on what Four's hands on my hips and the feeling of him standing so close behind me that I could feel his breath practically caress my neck.
"Careful," and my knees nearly go weak from the way the word rolled off his tongue like a soft rumble.
Over the course of the month, I grew stronger, my stamina longer, my muscles more prominent too. While I was certainly not the most skilled at fighting, the wit of my tonge remained strong. I used the points I earned to buy myself more comfortable clothes; boots, pants, shirts, I even gave myself the tattoo of the Candor symbol, encased in flames. I was even contemplating getting peircings, but I couldn't tell if I wanted them out of a wish to rebel against the way I was raised or because I actually wanted one.
Tonight was the night before visiting day. Last week had marked the end of our first part of initiation, and I dread thinking of what will happen next week.
Damien was standing in front of his bunk, ranting about how he's excited to see his sister. I watch him from my perch in his bunk. Over the past month, he'd gone from scrawny to quite musclar. It was almost scary to think about the sheer change. Snakebite peircings and blonde hair now green, Damien was certainly embracing the punk side of Dauntless.
We've both grown quite a bit since the Choosing Ceremony, the same way my crush on Four has only worsened.
Training, walking around Dauntless, cafeteria, I often try to find Four somewhere in the crowd. Most times, he's already staring at me. I shiver.
"You alright."
I break from my thoughts to see Damien squatting down in front of me. "I'm fine," I have to force the lie out. I've gotten better at lying, but it's nearly impossible to do it to the people I'm close to.
Damien shakes his head, and moves to sit on his cot beside me. "You're an awful liar."
"Yeah! I'm well aware!" A few other initiates turn to us at my outburst. Perhaps my feelings for Four weren't my only concern. "What if my parents actually come tomorrow? I hate them, but I'm so scared to see that inevitable look of disappointment." I slump against Damien's should, and he wraps an arm around me.
"Faction before blood. Dauntless is your faction, Dauntless is your family, you are my sister, and I am proud of you. Your parents are merely the people that made you and raised you. Unfortunately, they chose to turn you into a miniature of them and force away the true you. Whatever happens, your true family is here, and I will punch your parents for you if you need."
"Thanks..." I reply, and Damien rests his chin on my head.
Silence settles around us, a comfortable one that helps me relax a bit. "I asked Aaron out," Damien suddenly blurts out.
I pull away, turning to face him, "Ex Candor Aaron!" But Damien shakes his head, his grin bright.
"Nope! The Dauntless born Aaron. Black hair, chiseled face."
My mouth drops open in suprise, "I thought he was homophonic?"
Damien's grin turns almost feral, "Was. But then he lost a bet, we kissed, he liked it," Damien's hands move dramatically to emphasize each word, "he wanted to experiment, and let's just say I preformed real good."
"Gross. There's no way you're telling the truth."
"I am," Damien lounges back against his pillow.
"In that case, I guess I'll need to get some tips from you about winning over my crush sometime."
Damien sits up faster than I can blink, "who is it?"
"Not telling," I sing, and Damien pouts. "See ya tomorrow." I wave and walk over to my cot.
A permanent frown is etched into my face as I watch families mingle down in the pit. I already spotted my parents looking for me earlier, but I made no move to join them.
Someone walks up beside me but I say nothing.
"Wow. No snarky comment, sneer, or anything. Are you okay?" I'm surprised to hear Four sounds actually sincere.
"I'm fine-"
"No, you're not. You can talk to me about it," Four offers.
"As if you know anything about shitty parents," I sneer.
Four's gaze darkend, locking his jaw and I realize I hit a nerve, fuck. "Trust me, I do know." Four then quickly walks off.
Eventually, Damien hunts me down and drags me from my beloved hiding spot to meet his sister, but we get intercepted.
"I see you've enjoyed it here," I tense and turn to face my father, who is flanked by my mother. "Your friend is... interesting."
I cross my arms and glare at them. "I'm surprised you came."
"Yes, well," my mother starts, "while you may have joined a faction far beneath us, I must admit I was curious to see just how much you let yourself go. And it seems you've lost all sense of acting a proper lady." All sense of confidence seeps from my body as my mother scolds my appearance with her eyes.
Damien finally speaks up, "How dare you speak to her that way!"
My mother shrugs, "I'm simply speaking the truth. Tell your boyfriend to cool it."
"I have a boyfriend," Damien growls.
A look of utter disgust appears on my father's face, and before I can speak, he drags me away. I tried to grab onto Damien, but we'd already lost him in the crowd.
"Had I known you've fallen so far, I would've ordered someone to make you Factionless," my father snarls.
"What's so wrong about -"
"Do not interrupt me," just by an order from my father, I go stiff and silent. Just how I was before leaving Candor. Docile, pretty, soft.
"First, you betray us by joining Dauntless off all factions. I might've forgiven you if it was Amity of Abnegation, but you join Dauntless. Now you've cut your hair all short," I touch my hair, I had forgotten I cut it after too many initiates kept pulling it during sparring matches. "Look at your clothes, they're hideous, and with that cropped tank top, you look like a sl-"
"That's enough," someone growls beside me. My gaze snaps to Four as he pulls me closer to him. "Get out before I remove you both by force." My father goes to argue, but Four punches him in the face before he can finish.
I remain silent and unwilling to fight back as Four guides me through the halls, and he doesn't stop until he's confident we're alone.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Four asks while leaning against the rock wall. The dim blue light around us highlights his features.
"I don't know," my voice it quiet.
Four stares at me, as if taking in my every detail, every move, and emotion, like I'm a book. "Why did you join Dauntless?"
My heart sinks. He probably thinks I'm unworthy or something. "To escape my parents."
Four merely cocks his head, "If your sole goal was to escape you would've ran to Amity. Why did you come here?"
"Why do you care?" I snap.
Four sits on the ground and pats the space beside him. Despite myself, I sit.
"You don't have to talk about it. But understand I get it. Having a parent raising you to be impossibly perfect, who cares about their public image. That hate for yourself because you don't feel good enough even after you leave, still being afraid of them after you escape. Trust me, I get it. And if you bottle it, it will just consume you."
A gasp almost escapes me, he's Marcus's son. "Why are you telling me this?"
"When we met, I thought you were going to be some bratty rich girl, you wouldn't last. You're still a bit of a brat," he chuckles, "but you're also a fighter. Strong, unwilling to bend or break, and the fucking way you smile. I must admit I'm jealous, but more than that I confess I want nothing more than to kiss you."
"You like me?"
"Alot more than I'm willing to admit."
"I came to Dauntless because I'm tired of feeling weak and unable to fight back." Four looks at me intently. "All my life it was dresses, being told how to act, stand, sit, talk. I felt like a doll, and if I made one error I would get yelled at and locked in my room for a week at the least. It was suffocating and I always felt so utterly powerless. Here at Dauntless I'm strong, I'm free, I can actually fight." I look down at my hands, and Four rests one of his atop mine, and I squeeze it.
"You said you wanted to kiss me."
"Badly," he added.
"Then kiss me."
One minute Four is looking at me like I grew two heads, and the next his lips are upon mine. My hands find purchase on his shoulders, both his hands cup my face. He kisses me like he's starved. His lips are soft, and warm and I practically melt into the kiss.
We pull away for a moment, then slowly we kiss again. "Please be mine," Four mumbles against my lips.
"I am yours," I mutter back as we kiss again. Eventually, we settle, simply sitting in the empty hall, me in Four's arms, his head on my chin.
"I knew it!"
"Fuck!" My head slams against Four's jaw as I jolt making Four groan in pain.
"Man I fucking knew it! Maria owes me $20," Damien cackles, so I chuck my shoe at him and grace him my middle finger.
Author's note: I'm sorry it took so long, my dad was in the hospital for colon cancer, and his girlfriend got offended that my mom knew of the situation which was a hole issue. Fortunately things have calmed down, my dad's surgery was successful, and he's doing chemo to ensure it doesn't come back.
I hope you enjoyed the fic. Please share feedback, I happily accept constructive criticism.

He could hear your heartbeat, and he couldn't even see you yet. The forest was dark, almost silent, save for the wildlife and leaves. You had asked Eric to hunt you, and Eric agreed before you could explain why.
His human, running through the woods, mostly defenseless. You wearing only your Halloween costume, which was a sheer white sheet with two holes for the eyes, and red lingerie underneath. A ghost, Eric's ghost. Oh and how Eric loved the color red on you, it reminded him of blood. Blood and you was a deadly, delicious, mix. Whenever Eric sees you wear red, even better blood from a fight you won, he has to fight every urge to fuck you right there and his fangs ache for a bite. A deadly creature you were, bringing him to his knees with your strength and beauty, and sending him into a ruthless rage when you were hurt.
You were closer now, your heartbeat slowly growing louder as Eric neared your hiding spot. Soon, Eric could see a portion of your costume peeking out behind a tree. A few steps forward, and Eric could smell you. Silently, Eric pulls a knife from his pocket, the blade glints in the moonlight as Eric pulls his arm back and throws the knife. It flies through the air, and lands right beside your left leg. And like a deer, you freeze, Eric can hear you try to hold your breath.
Eric starts stalking towards your left, he listens to the rustling leaves as you stand, and the way you pant as you resume breathing. He could hear your heart beating, pumping delicious blood through your body. You run to the left, right into Eric's waiting arms.
"I taught you better than to fall for such traps my dear," Eric taunts into your ear. You start to protest, but Eric cups a hand over your mouth, "shh darling, save that pretty voice for later. Eric then takes his time to reach under your costume, trailing his fingers up your inner thigh, to your navel, sternum, then lips, where he then pushes a cloth into your mouth to gag you. "Behave, and I'll take it out once we reach our destination, Eric warns.
Eric then hauls you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, making you let out a muffled yelp. He keeps one arm wrapped around the back of your thighs, to hold you in place as he begins walking further into the forest. The walk is mostly silent, and brief. The trees eventually part to reveal an opening. In the middle was a circle of candles, and in the middle of those candles a blanket, and a basket. You try to push yourself up to see better, bracing your arms on Eric's back. Eric tisks, and spanks you, and the sudden pain makes you jolt, losing your balance and fall back down again his back. "Careful, or do you need another lesson on patience?" Eric taunts.
Once in the middle of the circle, Eric carefully pulls you off his shoulder and lays you onto the thick blanket laying on the hard soil. Finally you can take in Eric's appearance. Eric wasn't one for dressing up during Halloween, however after reading a few books, it appears he decided to slightly dress up a bit. Eric wore a black jacket, and black compression shirt, with a few fake cuts scattered about as if he were in a knife fight, he also wore black leather fingerless gloves, and a simple mask to cover the lower half of his face. Eric also wore black and grey camouflage cargo pants, with a few thigh weapon holsters, the same knife he'd thrown at you sitting in one of those holsters. Eric makes no comment about your gaze, and instead turns away to light the candles.
Eric straddles you to hold you in place. He then takes his time grabbing red rope, made out of a soft material, but sturdy. Eric then slowly pulls up the sheer sheet covering your body, as if he were removing a veil. With care, Eric begins to bind your wrists, and bind them to a small post in the ground that he had placed earlier, before the hunt.
Once you were bound, Eric sits up, his eyes were filled with a started hunger as they trailed along your body. Finally, he removes your gag, and rubs a thumb against your lips.
You squirm a bit, "I feel like a sacrificial lamb, Eric." Eric doesn't yet respond, he instead runs a hand along your neck, he was already panting. From your angle, you could see how hard he was, and just how much restraint he was using.
Eric then murmurs an incantation and all the candles light, "that's because you are one my dear." Eric then takes his time to look at you, you had goosebumps from the cold, the red lingerie hugged your curves perfectly, and your arms pinned perfectly above your head. Eric slides off your lap, only to then spread your legs and settle between them. The sensation of your legs wrapping around Eric's hips makes him groan.
"Desperate?" you taunt, reveling in the desperate hunger in Eric's eyes. And with your comment, Eric's control breaks. Eric pulls down his mask, and kisses you as if starved. His gloved hands rub along your body. Eric then peppers kisses down from your lips, to your jaw, then your neck. He begins to nip, and kiss along your throat, his fangs scraping along your neck making you whimper, "Eric..."
Eric pulls back, panting heavy, "I know, I know, dove." Eric then grabs his knife, and you let out a shuddered breath as he trails the dull side of the blade down your sternum, leaving a small red trail. "Words bring no justice to how beautiful you are," Eric murmurs, he then pushes the knife under your bra, and cuts it open. You whine in response to the torn fabric, and Eric tuts mockingly. He gently uses to blade to push the fabric off, the blade lightly scrapes at your skin, and to Eric's delight you arched into it.
By now Eric's fangs were long and aching, it wasn't the only aching, but it was currently the most prominent. He begins trailing the blade down your torso, past your navel, to your underwear. His senses were flooded with the sound of your pounding heart, shaky breaths. Eric needed to taste it, he needed to taste you. Now. With no more patience Eric pulls the underwear down to your ankles. As much fun as cutting the fabric would be, he hoped to see you in it again.
With no more barriers, Eric manhandles your legs over his shoulders, and descends upon your pussy like a starved man. Waves of pleasure roll through your body. Eric grips your hips tightly to hold you in place as he laps at your cunt. Your moans fall like music in Eric's ears. Eric then brings his lips to your clit, while bringing a hand down to push two fingers into your cunt. Your hips buck, your moans breaking down into breathless whines, and Eric knows your close. And as you finally come on Eric's face, he happily licks up every drop.
You cry from overstimulation, but Eric doesn't stop until your fingers dig into his hair. Eric stops, then looks up at you from between your thighs. The bottom of his face was wet, his perfectly gelled hair now messed up from your bound hands holding it. Eric's gaze drifts up to the post now dangling from the rope binding your wrists. While he knew the post wasn't that secure, he had hoped it'd hold better.
You can't help but to sigh as Eric begins trailing kisses up your body. But then his hands grab your wrists. "Please," you beg, "let me touch you."
Eric stares down at you for a second, and its already clear he just can't say no to you. "Fine," Eric says, then pulls the post out of the rope, but keeps your wrists bound.
There's no time to speak as Eric kisses you again. Both of your barely hold back, the make out is messy and loud. Your legs wrap around Eric's waist, making him gasp as you grind against him. Your bound hands trail down Eric's torso until they reach the hem of his shirt, where you then push them underneath to feel up Eric's abs. The vampire above your groans, and nips at your bottom lip.
Finally you bring your hands down to Eric's belt. Eric immediately takes the hint and sits up. He picks up his knife from the ground and places the dull side against your neck, "be a good girl for me," Eric says, his voice low. Then Eric begins messily undoing his belt with one hand. His movements remain rushed as he shoves his pants and boxers down his hips. Eric's cock looked almost painfully hard as it was freed from his clothing, the tip was already getting a purple tinge and leaking.
You bite your lip at the sight, and the knife pressed to your throat definitely made you all the more needy. "Please don't make me have to use my words Eric," you beg.
Eric cocks his head, already angling his hips. You gasp, your body arching as Eric rubs his tip along your soaked folds, and Eric groans. "Fuck..." Eric moans putting the knife down, braces his hands on your hips and enters you. Both of you moan. Eric tries to be gentle, but the sight of you laid out so beautifully before him, Eric bottomed out. Both of you cry out at the sensation, followed by Eric moaning your name.
Neither of you were going to last long, but fuck did every slow roll of Eric's hips feel good enough to make up for that. Eric cups your face with both hands to kiss you, and you push both your hands beneath his shirt to touch him.
The kiss starts soft but heated, Eric's thumbs stroking your cheeks. But then one of his fangs cuts your lower lip. Your blood, thick and delicious like sinful honey pools onto Eric's lip. All control leaves Eric at the taste.
It starts with Eric sucking on your lower lip and moaning at the taste. His thrusts then increase in speed and strength making you gasp and moan breathlessly. Eric then pulls away and sits up, his thrusts lose rhythm as he takes in the sinful sight of you whining below him. And as you look up at Eric, you can see your blood on his parted lips, and watched as his tounge ran along his lips.
Eric then stills, leaving you abandoned on the edge. "Eric... you ass," you curse.
"Just stay still for a second," Eric pants, and as you see Eric's hand reach for his blade, you listen. He then brings his blade to your right breast, and you hiss in pain as Eric cuts a small line along your inner boob. "Good girl," Eric coos. He then gently pulls you up to straddle his lap, the movement makes you groan at the sensation of moving with Eric's cock still in you.
Eric doesn't wait, his eyes flash black and his words briefly warp as he summons physical shadows to stimulate your clit. He then buries his face against your bleeding breast, lapping and sucking at the blood. You roll your hips at the sensation, and Eric is quick to react, he begins thrusting again, this time fast and rough. You wrap your arms around Eric's head, fingers digging into his hair as you moan.
The pleasure soon starts to coil in your stomach, your hands fall from Eric's hair to his back where your nails scrape his skin. Eric moans against your breast, in pleasure from the pain. Eric pushes a hand against your lower back, making you press against his body more, and causing your clit to grind against his pelvis. The shadows and Eric's pelvis against your clit, the sting of pain and Eric's mouth on your breast, Eric's cock hitting the right spot inside you with his hard thrusts... It felt like fire engulfing your body as the coil snaps, you cling to Eric, moaning his name over and over like a prayer as you come. Eric follows, his thrusts become faster but messy, he buries his face against your neck moaning and gasping your name between moans. Then Eric thrusts into you a last time, whimpering out your name as he comes, cock twitching as he spills into you.
The both of you hold each other for awhile, catching your breaths and basking in the moonlit moment. Eventually Eric lays you down and pulls out. He stares down at you for a few minutes, basking in your beauty.
"Stay here dove, let me clean you up," Eric murmurs, then kisses your lips and gets up to walk towards the basket. Eric soon returns with the basket and hands you a sugary snack, and sets down a water bottle beside you. Eric then presses a kiss to your cheek, "just let me know if you need anything, I packed plenty of snacks in the basket for you." He then starts to take his time cleaning you up. Eric starts with cleaning all the bleeding bites and cut, followed by any bandaging necessary. He makes sure to take extra care of your breast, laying a few kisses, murmuring praise when you hissed at the sting of the antiseptic wipe, ensuring the bandage of healing gel was secure. Eric then pulls out a thermos, and opened it up to pull out a rag that had been soaking in warm water.
"Are you sure you don't have part Erudite in you Eric?" you tease, while setting the now empty snack wrapper in the basket. You then press your still bound wrists on Eric's chest, "also, you forgot something."
Eric huffs, giving you one of his, adorably, awkward smiles. "I'm not part Erudite," Eric starts, and grabs his knife with his free hand, "I just have good common sense." Eric then uses the knife to cut the rope, causing the torn rope to fall from your wrists, "and I care deeply about the well being of the love of my life," Eric puts the knife down so he can pull your wrists to his lips to kiss them. Eric then turns his focus to between your legs, making sure to gently blot and rub the warm rag to clean up his mess. "It was quite the sight watching you unravel."
With your free hands, you play with Eric's hair, once perfectly gelled, now messy from your hands from seconds ago. "I should let you chase me through the woods more often," you comment, "the adrenaline rush I felt hiding from you, and you catching me was quite intoxicating." Eric leans into your touch, still focusing on his task. Once done, he wraps the rag in a dry towel and dumps it into the basket.
"You don't have to ask me twice about that," Eric teases, bringing a hand to rest on your left thigh. It's with Eric's warm touch you realize how cold you are. "Let me carry you to the car so you can warm up while I clean everything up," Eric offers, already pulling off his jacket and laying it on your shoulders. You mutter a 'thank you', and Eric scoops you into his arms, one being your back, and the other under your knees. The walk in mostly silent, you rest your head on his chest to listen to his heartbeat, and embrace his warmth.
"I remember the first time we cuddled," you start, Eric already starting to smile at the silly memory. "I laid my head on your chest, and freaked out when I heard your heartbeat. It had me questioning everything I knew about supernatural creatures," you chuckle a little as you finish your statement.
By now the two of you were reaching Eric's jeep. "Yes you were," Eric chuckles. "I had to explain to difference between vampires who were transformed into one, versus those born a vampire like me. All the while," Eric sets you on the hood of the jeep, "you stared at me like I had two heads." You shiver at the cold metal beneath you and made a face at Eric, and Eric mumbles an 'I know.' He then opens the front passenger door to reveal the clothes you were wearing before this excursion, Eric then grabs those clothes and walks back over to you.
"Let's get you dressed," Eric states, then kisses you on the lips. After the chaste kiss, Eric pulls back to help you dress. When you stand for the first time, you realize just how shaky your legs are, Eric is quick to hold you so you don't fall. Holding onto Eric, you lay your costume and Eric's jacket in the passenger seat, then pulled on your black sweater, and Eric helps you into your black pants. "Alright, I'm going to clean up everything back there," Eric's voice was soft as he spoke, "wait in the jeep for me, I don't want you in the cold any longer." Eric kisses you, places the jeep keys on your hands, helps you into the vehicle and then leaves.
Not wanting to make you wait, Eric jogs through the trees to the location from earlier. He is quick as he cleans, tossing the torn fabric in the basket, folding the blanket, picking up his knife, then briefly scanning for anything missed. Grabbing everything, Eric jogs back to the jeep. As he nears, he can see you slumped in the passenger seat looking beautiful, but also tired, your heartbeat was slower now, relaxed. So upon reaching the jeep, Eric quietly knocks on your door so you know to make sure the doors are unlocked, allowing Eric to dump everything into the trunk. He then rounds the vehicle to your door and opened it.
In a firm tone Eric speaks, "I'm not done with you dove, come here." Obediently, you step out of the jeep, leaning against the door for support. Then unexpectedly Eric wraps his arms around you, and your world spins as he sits down in the jeep and manhandles you onto his lap. Once you both are seated fully in the vehicle, Eric closes the door. For a moment you are frozen in Eric's arms as your mind catches up with the moment. "Do you know how beautiful you are?" Eric asks.
You look up at him, wondering what he's up to. "What?"
Eric smiles down at you, his left hand playing with the ends of your hair. Eric's voice is soft when he speaks, like he's deep in thought, "my dove, you are breathtaking, and every moment I am with you, it's all I can think of. Especially when you hold a weapon."
"What are you getting to?" you ask, curious to what Eric could be plotting.
Eric just kisses your forehead and wraps his arms around you. "I just love you is all. Now rest, I'll take us home shortly," Eric's tone is soft, and he tilts your face up for a brief kiss. It takes awhile before you fall asleep, and Eric savors every second of you in his arms. His sweet, deadly, dove. And once Eric knew you were asleep, he opened the glove compartment, and nestled in it was a small velvet box.

Author's note: I hope ya'll enjoyed my (totally not late) Halloween special, Eric fic. I do feel like I did lack a bit of innacurcy with Eric's character towards the end, but in my defense, I'm a sleep deprived BB&W worker and college student, trapped in the month of retail hell. 🩷
If you desire an for a alt form with a diffrent sex/gender (AFAB male reader, non binary AFAB/AMAB, etc) just lemme know and I'll see what I can do.

Christmas was never a popular holiday in Candor, the whole idea of a fake entity called Santa giving gifts, surprise gifts, putting up decorations that would only be relevant for a few days, even baking, the people of Candor saw it all as a waste. So growing up in Candor, you never celebrated the holiday. During your initiation year in Dauntless you didn't celebrate it either, however seeing all the wild fun Dauntless members had on that day had really stuck with you. Coming from Erudite, Eric hadn't grown up celebrating the holiday either, so he also ignored it his first few years at Dauntless.
It was the third week of December, you stood in the kitchen of yours and Eric's shared apartment cooking homemade cinnamon rolls. Outside it was snowing, and a small layer of frost coated the windows. Deeper in the apartment you could hear the shower faintly running as Eric got ready for the day. Soon you were putting the rolls in the oven, and pulling out ingredients to make the icing. Your thoughts drift to your initiation last year, specifically what Dauntless was like during Christmas. Being lost in your thoughts, you don't even hear Eric leave the bathroom and start walking to the kitchen. With your mind still drifting, you carry the ingredients to the counter in front of the window. It isn’t till Eric hugs you from behind, his strong, warm, arms wrapping around your waist to pull you back against him, and his lips pressing against the nape of your neck, that you finally wake from your thoughts.
"The whole home smells like cinnamon and dough," Eric murmurs against your neck. He then pulls away slightly, his hands moving from your stomach, to push beneath your sweater to rest on your hips. "Mind sharing what you're making, or is it a surprise today," Eric's voice, despite his soft tone, still had a light roughness from sleep. Your turn around in Eric's arms to get a better look at him. Eric was mostly dry, however, his hair was still damp, he was also shirtless and dressed only in black sweats, and he smelt like chamomile and bergamot. There's a gentle smile on Eric's face as he notices you staring, but he also knew that furrow of your brows that signified you deep in thought. "Tell me what's plaguing your mind," Eric gently orders.
You sigh, looking up at Eric as he pulled a hand from your hip to cup your cheek. "Well, I was thinking about my initiation last year," you start, "and I can't stop thinking about how fun everything looked when everyone was celebrating Christmas." Insecurity bubbles up inside you, if celebrating such a ridiculous holiday felt, well ridiculous, then it's easy to imagine Eric found your desire stupid. You sigh, and force yourself to continue, "I want to celebrate Christmas, Eric."
There is an agonizingly long moment of silence as Eric thinks of a reply, he can see the worry in your tense posture, but also the hope in your eyes. While Christmas had always felt distant, and out of place to Eric, he couldn't deny you your excitement. So, without any fight, Eric gives in, "then we shall try celebrating Christmas, my dear." Eric then leans down for a kiss, and melt into the kiss with him. The kiss was loving, but short. "We'll talk about plans tonight, for now I need to finish getting ready for Jeanine's trial. They also found Max and a few other of Jeanine's accomplices. So it will be a while before I can return home."
The oven then dings to signify that the rolls were done cooking. "Well then, go get dressed," you lean up to kiss Eric's cheek, "and I'll get breakfast on the table so you can eat before your long day," you offer, resting you hand on Eric's arm. Eric smiles in return and pulls away to walk to the bedroom. You then turn your attention to setting the table, two plates, with two cinnamon rolls each, a small bowl of icing with a spoon in the middle, with two forks for the rolls. As you're prepping Eric's coffee, he returns, now dressed. Eric's outfit was as formal as you could expect from a Dauntless leader, simple cargo pants, form fitting black shirt, and his leather jacket. Breakfast was peaceful, but quiet. After eating, Eric had rinsed his plate, poured his coffee into a thermos, kissed your cheek, and left.
A few hours later you meet up with Tris at one of the many train tracks, she's sitting on the gravel rooftop, dressed in a black sweater, and black jeans. "He said yes!" you shout as you jog up to Tris. Tris stands up, a bright smile on her face, she's about to speak when you interrupt her. "Well, technically he said we'd go over plans tonight, but that still counts," you correct.
"Well, that's close enough," Tris pulls you into a short side hug, and starts walking towards the tracks, "I know a few shops in Amity that my parents used to get decorations from." The train then arrives, never once slowing down as it reaches the roof. The both of you run alongside the train, you then hop onto the side of one car, hitting a button to open the door and pulling yourself in. Tris hops on right after you. The both of you pause to catch your breath, then closed the door to stop letting more cold air in.
Your brows furrow in confusion as you remember Tris' last comment, "Abnegation people bought Christmas decorations?"
Tris turns from the window to face you, she rubs her hands together as she explains, "Yes, but not for ourselves. We'd buy them, then pass them out to any Factionless who wanted to celebrate but needed supplies, we would also help purchase gifts for their families and even help put things together."
"Oh," you awkwardly reply, "yeah that makes more sense."
For the rest of the ride, Tris educates you on the different traditions she's seen, from tree decorations, food, drinks, songs, and gift wrapping. The two of you also share gift ideas, and possible plans. Soon enough the train starts to pass through Amity. You and Tris open the doors, and with a running start jumped off the train. Nearly all of the Amity buildings surrounding the area were covered in decorations, colorful blinking lights, fake candy, colorful wreathes, and bells. You almost lose track of Tris, simply because you can't stop staring at it all. Eventually, you reach the market Tris told you about, each vendor had a mixture of foods, crafts, decorations, and all sorts of trinkets. One item in particular catches your eye, it was small wooden infuser top laying on a glass, with smoke falling from the infuser into the cup. You immediately recognize the item, for Eric liked to order his whiskey with a smoky taste, and the bartenders would use an infuser like you’re seeing now to make it. So with the idea already planted in your mind, you approach the vendor and went over different whiskey smoker kits until you settled on the one that felt right.
After an hour of shopping, you and Tris were ready to return to Dauntless. Due to the heavy bags, you both had to wait for one of the few train stops to get on and get off. As you both return to the Dauntless Headquarters, it had begun to snow again. "Honestly, I think we should all spend Christmas at my apartment," you start, "there's a spare bedroom that you and Four can take, if you spend the night, the couch could fit Christina and Will can have the couch. We'll set up decorations together, play games," you keep rambling ideas until Tris finally interrupts you.
"I though you stated Eric said you'd discuss plans with him," Tris teases with a smile.
You laugh, dropping one of the bags on the floor to unlock your apartment door. As you open the door, you finally stop laughing long enough to say, "yeah well I got carried away!"
"I noticed," a voice says from within your apartment. You look up from the bag on the floor to inside the apartment where Eric and Four are standing by the kitchen counter, sharing a glass of whiskey. He was home earlier than expected...
"Heyyyy, honey..." you greet awkwardly as a response to getting caught. Four laughs, and there's a smile on Eric's face. The two men step forward to help you and Tris with the bags. You're careful to hide the bag with Eric's gift, causing him to cast you a look of suspicion. "How did court go?" you ask, trying to distract Eric.
Eric frowns, but summarizes, "only Jeanine's case was handled today. Guilty, charged for attempted coup, attempted mass murder, illegal human experimentation, and was sentenced to twelve years of prison, no parole. She tried turning the blame on me, and if it wasn't for my court case with the truth serum a few months ago, they would have believed her," Eric sighs and dumps the bag of decorations on the couch. It's clear today has left Eric tired, and in need of a distraction. "Now do tell what is going on here with all these bags and undiscussed plans," Eric asks, sitting down on the couch, and pulling you down to sit next to him. Four and Tris stand nearby.
Four then speaks up, "So, will you two," Four looks at you then Tris, "finally fill us in on your grand ideas. Or are Eric and I to stay in the dark."
Tris seems to contemplate answering, then decides otherwise, "well don't accuse me, I'm not the one whose mind is filled grand ideas."
Finally, you speak up, "I was thinking we could all celebrate Christmas here, we'd wrap all the gifts Christmas eve, Four and Tris, maybe Christina and Will, can stay the night, and on Christmas we share the gifts, drink, play games, and maybe bake together. As for decorations, Eric, since we're hosting, we'll do that within these two weeks." By the end you were beaming with excitement, and Eric couldn't help but to smile at the sight.
Eric places a hand on your shoulder, "babe, we don't have tree."
"We have one," Four interjects. "If we're all celebrating here, then Tris and I can lend you our tree. We can also bring the snacks. I won't be able to stay the night before due to work, but everything else works fine."
You turn to Eric for confirmation or any comments. Eric seems to think for a moment, then, "well it sounds like we have a plan. We'll invite Will and Christina, and have a small party with the six of us," Eric states.
The next two weeks feel like a blur. Four had brought the tree to the apartment, where you, Eric, and Four worked together to decorate it. During your free time you added a wooden wreath to the door, as well as little bells to door handles, fake icicles hanging from the kitchen counter, and Christmas lights around the windows. Very soon it was Christmas Eve, everyone was scattered across the apartment wrapping gifts. For now, you and Eric were wrapping gifts together in front of the tree.
As you finish up your first gift, you turn your gaze to Eric, skills wise you could at least argue your gifts were wrapped with love, but Eric's wrapping was surprisingly clean, and arguably elegant. "Where did you learn to wrap like that?" you ask, voice laced with surprise.
Eric's face shifts from scary and focused, to soft, like he's recalling a soft memory. "Back in Erudite, as a child my family celebrated Christmas, it was also family tradition for us to wrap each other's gifts," Eric's tone was soft.
"I though Jeanine wiped your memories when you were fifteen?" you comment in confusion.
"She never got all of them," Eric pulls you into a kiss, then rests his forehead against yours, "thank you for this."
"Awe, so cute," Christina teases.
"Shut it," Eric snaps in response, throwing a wad of extra wrapping paper at Christina and Will.
The next morning, you're apparently the last to wake up. The bedroom is dim when you open your eyes, looking out the window you can see it’s snowing. From outside the bedroom, music is faintly playing, and you could hear everyone talking excitedly. You pull yourself out of bed, on the nightstand was an oversized sweater Tris had made, which you pull on, and some thicker sweatpants because its cold. As you exit the bedroom, everyone goes silent, and your heart drops thinking that they started without you. They're all huddled by the kitchen counter, where Eric is holding a cardboard box, the box is without a lid, but beyond that you can't see anything.
"Close your eyes!" Christina blurts out as if the world was ending. You decide not to argue and let your eyes close. Around you, you can hear people walking around, and someone walking closer with careful steps. A meow then breaks the silence. As your eyes open, you can see Eric was still several feet away. Poking out of the box was the tiny, fluffy, head of a kitten. The kitten meows again and tries to climb out of the box, so you rush forward, picking the fluffy fur baby up into your arms.
"You said the apartment felt empty," Eric starts, putting the box down, "and that you love cats and have wanted one for a while." Eric then kisses your cheek, "It’s a girl, the Abnegation foster parent I got her from named her Toast, she's about five months old."
"Eric," you tear up, smiling brightly, "I would die for Toast!" You carefully adjust Toast in your hold so you could pull Eric into a hug and kiss him. Somewhere in the background Will makes a teasing remark, but you pay him no mind.
Later, everyone has settled around the tree, torn paper, string, and tape covers the floor like snow. Toast has made herself comfortable underneath the tree, Eric used his new whiskey smoker kit to make his whiskey as smoky as he likes, Tris dons a new coat, Christina a new skirt, Will new boots, and Four is wearing his new apron that says, "Bitch I am the secret ingredient!" and is baking cookies.
