Tagged! + Davai Update
The dear @iffeelscouldkill tagged me to post the first sentence of a WIP. Hilariously, I was coming on here (for the first time in ages...again) to update about said WIP. Davai is an Otayuri soulmate AU I’ve been working on since...December? Literally the only reason I wrote Yes (Victurri close-canon soulmate AU) was so that I could write Davai. It’s been a long time coming and I’m nowhere near done. 7k words and I’m only HALF WAY through Welcome to the Madness...this might be an actual novel, guys. *gulp* BUT, here it is, the opening paragraph (pending rewrites cuz I’m still on draft zero, y’all) of Davai:
The snow was cold. Colder than the air inside the rink as Yuri tilted his head back to look at the softly drifting flakes. They danced in the air, flickering in and out of the yellow streetlights, crunching beneath his feet as he walked with his grandfather. Tiny mitten engulfed in the secure, safe grip of his guardian.
