Davamy is such a toxic ship (in a good way) because even if Amy tries to deny it SO badly they are codependent on each other

Amy needs Dave to help her boot away Sammy and, in a way, boost her self esteem. Dave is the kind of guy who always sweet-talks her and alwayd validates her, so she needs him to validate her all the time bcs no one else in the world will

Dave on the other hand, even if he has full knowledge that Amy is using him, still decides that he wants to fall in love with her because he is so affection-starved. He doesn't care that Amy's love is fake because at least she says that she loves him. That's enough.

i forgot which user originally said it but after rewatching pahkitew again i can confirm that amy and dave are 100% the token homophobic cishetties. i know the davamy op deleted but i kinda miss the short lived ship hype. the memes that came out of it were fucking hilarious. we need more ships between characters that suck. spices things up a bit.
