The moment of Fiddleford's and Ford's fall into the portal

Some of my posts are related to each other by a common plot, so I figured there should be a post that lumps them all together. I called it an AU because it changes some things, and some rules probably diverge from canon.

A quick rundown of the AU stages:

1. Fiddleford knows about Bill and they openly argue with each other about the dangers of the portal, trying to get the other to leave (this happens the whole time they're building the portal (but it takes longer than usual because Fiddleford is deliberately doing it slowly)).

2. When the portal is almost done, Fiddleford falls into it just like in canon, but Bill tries to pull him completely into the portal to kill him. But Ford accidentally flies into the portal with Fiddleford.

3. Ford learns the truth, he and Fiddleford escape, and they run through dimensions looking for a way home (in the picture below I tried to describe the properties of the dimensions they have to deal with)

Also clarifications:

- In stage 1, Ford doesn't think about loving anyone at all, but after stage 3, at some point he learns about Fiddleford's feelings for him and accepts them. So basically it's fiddauthor and one-sided billford (from Bill's side). ......and sometimes zero-sided fiddbill (I just like how they interact aaaaa)

- Fiddleford is divorced, but still attached to Tate. So instead of dedicating his life to destroying Bill, Ford makes it his goal to find a way to return home with Fiddleford, because he wants to return to his son
