I was 18 when I got pregnant and had my daughter. I was lost, confused and don’t know what to do. Yes, I was young, it wasn’t the right time and it’s going to be hard for me but thank God, everything worked out well. My parents, well, like any other parents, they were angry at first until they accepted it. “ Yes, i am a young mother. No, that does not mean I am any less of a parent. It means I wont be ancient when they graduate. I am younger, prettier, more fun and just way cooler than you. ”
She is now a year and 4 months old, breastfed and well taken care of. She’s healthy, smart, loving and sweet. Being a young mom means that we met a little early, but it also, means I get to love you a little longer. Some people said that my life ended when I had a baby but my life had just began. You didn’t take away my future, you gave me a new one. Walking unaided, Standing without any help from us, Pointing to objects of her interest, Speaking two recognizable words, Deliberately dropping toys and looking for them are just a few of her achievements in her one-year-old mark.
