Like imagine being Dave Ayres and putting your name down for emergency goalie bc what’s the worst that could happen right then showing up one day and ending up having to face shots from Auston Matthews and John Tavares???? Toronto came within one goal of tying the game BUT THIS ABSOLUTE LEGEND WAS LIKE “psych!! I’m an elite goalie now” and then Carolina won. Toronto just lost to a zamboni driver. Move over Rittich there’s a new big save Dave in town. This is why I stan Dave Ayres and I think you should too.
