The Shapes, the return!
This track doesn’t waste time—it cuts straight to the point with attitude and wit!
I love how it mixes humour, rebellion, and social commentary.
The full title is 'Wot's For Lunch Mum? (Not B***s Again!)'.

Searching for all-time favorites to post is so much fun. I suddenly remembered I Saw Batman in the Launderette, and what a joy it is to hear it again after many years!
"(I Saw) Batman (In The Launderette)" by The Shapes is a memorable slice of British punk!
I love the quirky and surreal lyrics, the crisp and sharp guitars and punchy basslines.

After sharing ' I Saw Batman in the Launderette' here’s a fantastic shot of The Shapes I found on Discogs!
They had a knack for the absurd, and this photo proves it just as much as their music does!

Really liking Michael Harding's lead-based Cremnitz White. It gives a lot of lustre to the sky and skin tones.
Recently completed oil painting. I've been just calling him "The Guy." It's my first painting on wood panel – I've always painted on canvas – and I really like the classic feel and "resolution" of it. Unless your canvas has a smooth ground, you always feel like you're looking through a slight screen door, so smaller work can feel like it lacks impact. But the smoothness of wood panel doesn't have that problem, so this 11"x14" piece feels larger than it is. I'm no Van Eyck, though – if you want to have your mind blown, get this book. Anyway, feels great to be painting again now that I'm settled in San Francisco.
In a new era where the term “DJ” is used very loosely, I feel that it is important to explain to the new generation what exactly a DJ is. A DJ is a Disc Jockey, a person who takes 2 (or more) songs and creates something new out of them through physically mixing, cutting and scratching. As a DJ, I want my mixes to represent what true DJing is. This is not a “studio mix” put together in a program. This is a continuous DJ mix, recorded on 2 Technic 1200’s and a Rane 56 mixer. 2013 is probably one of the last years that you will hear DJ mixes done on turntables. Enjoy the crackle of the needle on the record. Enjoy hearing a mix go off and then get corrected half a second later. Enjoy the sound of a record being pulled back. That is what DJing sounds like. This mix is called “Death of the DJ” because those who embody the classic definition of a DJ are quickly fading away. The focus is now on the producer. This is a good thing for the progression of the music. However, the art of DJing this music live has fallen to the wayside. These producers must still learn how to create a vibe through their track selection and take the listeners on a journey that builds up, climaxes, and then brings them back down. I hope you enjoy bumping this mix as much as I did making it. EZ DAVE GEE Track List: EOW (Starkey Remix) --SOK ft.
