Klaus: Your love, hand it over.
Dave: Over my body.
Klaus: Aren't you supposed to say over my dead body?
Dave: [pinning him against the wall] No.

Dave's a hero?
Okay, I know how everyone is talking about Dave FINALLY becoming a hero, and they're happy about that. Yeah, I'm here to screw that up. Dave was never meant to be a hero. He wasn't. Being a hero meant dying, and he just wasn't ready for that. He wasn't ready to die. He ISN'T ready to die. He'll never be ready to die. Dave can't accept that fact and he won't accept the fact that...everyone dies, and soon he'll be done for. Dave understood the meaning of hero when Bro died. He died for Dave. He died for someone he loved. He calls John a hero because John is risking his life to save all his friends. Dave, however, feels as if he's worthless, because he's not risking his life. He's just there to be there. So he does be there. He does what he can do. Dave just isn't cut out to be a hero, and he knows that. Everyone knows that. 'im not a hero' 'bro was' 'john is' 'im not' - Dave Strider
