I'll go first!!:
back in ye olde covid days, where I was extremely touch starved and needing hugs on a constant basis, I had a habit of looking up *best hugs in films and tv shows* on Youtube. (yes, it was sad, I know) I came across a video called, The Doctor Hugging his companions for 6 minutes straight and the amount of warmth and love I felt, even from a YouTube vid compilation of a tv show I had never watched before, interested me enough to look more into Doctor Who. Now, I'm really bad at watching tv shows with several, long seasons, so I would generally just watch whichever episode I found out of context 😭. But I fell in love with what I did watch of the show, as well as David's acting as the 10th doctor. I looked up his filmography, and remembered that I had watched Broadchurch back in 2018-19, so I thought "hey! I'll give it another watch!" and I appreciated it SO MUCH MORE on the second watch. I didn't start hyper fixating on his entire filmography until mid 2023, and at that time, I was insanely depressed, and his tv shows and films (as good or bad as they were, bless him) helped me get through the day and gave me something to focus on other than my mental health. Fast forward to near the end of 2024, and I decided to get Tumblr to start posting the dt art I made, and I now have several new friends who I talk to weekly (big thing for someone who's only friends include her roommates and like one friend from town lol), and ive joined amazing communities because of it!! it also taught me so much more about Shakespeare, my gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, and mental health, and ive never been more happy to have found a fandom of people who share my interests!!!
