So Wheeler (A radio host in my home city) just got fired for making rude comments against Transgender people. Saying that Transgender people are no different than actors in movies pretending to be dogs.  

People are freaking out that he's been fired saying that it's breaching his freedom of speech yada yada. 

I'm like "Okay first off, this is not his first offence, he was given verbal and written warnings about his racist comments in the past, this was his final straw. 

Second off, Canada doesn't have "Freedom of Speech" we're not America. We have a bit more strict laws in regards to that. 

Third off, Even if we did have "Freedom of Speech" it protects you against retaliation from the government. It does not protect you from your employer firing your racist ass, nor stop someone from punching you in the damn face for your dumb ass opinion. 

Fourth off, when he's talking on the air, he isn't talking for himself. He is a voice representative for his employer, if he's breaking company policy, the employer has every right to fire his ass. You are entitled to Freedom of Speech, you are NOT entitled to a job!”
