I've been thinking about getting one myself, did it hurt?

Not really. The place that I got it isn’t as sensitive as other parts of the body you could ink up so it wasn’t intolerably painful. I think I actually napped at one point just because the position I was in was comfortable enough.

If you’re thinking about getting one and you’re worried about that, though, it pays to do some research on what areas of the body will hurt the least. Any part of your torso aside from your back will fuckin’ burn from what I’ve heard, plus on the skin above any bones that are close to the surface (like your shoulder blades or ankles). Everywhere else should be fair game from what I recall.
