On Monday, @chrisandersoncomics and I launched a #kickstarter for CHAOTIC NEUTRAL, a comic book and playable fantasy role-playing module all in one. Yesterday, we showed if Chris and painter Mira Lark's gorgeous cover. Today I thought I'd show of the real star if the book/ Chris gorgeous interior art. Here's just a few of the 48 pages of story (the included adventure module features even more pages and art). I think Chris' work evokes the old-school aesthetic of #erolotus, #davetrampier etc. while bring his unique, modern voice to the book. Dave Trampier inspired Orcus statue sketch ( from the 1979 D&D Players Handbook cover) followed by the rough-assembled cut paper version. the bottom pic shows the pieces of the 8 separate layers 185lb Canson Montval acrylic paper that comprise the head. The next step will be to haint paint each piece to keep the feeling of Trampier’s original painting.
