35 and 7 with davey? thank you :)
So I’m only gonna do 7, because I already did 35, thanks for understanding :) (Also, I’m making this around the readers birthday, so it may be not right now, just bear (bare?) with me)
“Just shut up and kiss me”
Davey was the greatest person you had ever met. The two of you did happen to meet in freshman year of high school and it became an immediate friendship. You two had each other’s back, always, and no one dared to cross either of you. But, you wanted more than a friendship from Davey, you wanted a romantic relationship.
Everyday you’d stare at his face, and marvel at every freckle and mark on there. His lips always looked so kissable, and you dreamt of everyday kissing them. But he’d never see you that way, or that’s what you thought.
The truth was Davey had a massive crush on you. He’d often imagine what it was like to be your boyfriend and wonder if you felt the same way. But, why would you?
“Hey, it’s Y/N’s birthday tomorrow, you gonna get them anything good? Like perhaps asking them out?” Jack asked Davey when he saw him.
“I don’t know. What if they hate me forever?” He asked.
“You kidding? Y/N’s loved you for like, ever.” Jack said.
“I, can’t do it. Not to Y/N, they deserve happiness on their birthday.” Davey said.
“That’s why you go up to Y/N and say, ‘hey, I like you, you like me, let’s get it on’ then you grab their face and kiss th-“
“Okay, no. Jack, you suck at relationships. God knows how you were able to get with Katherine.” Davey said and saw you walk up to both of the boys.
“Hey boys.” You said, waving slightly atJack.
“Hey Y/N, so I hear you’re having a big birthday bash tomorrow. Can’t wait.” Jack said and you smiled.
“Well, it’s nothing big, my parents allowed me to have a party, and they promised to stay in their room all night.” You said and turned to Davey. “You’re coming, right?”
“Of course. I’d never miss your birthday.” Davey said, making you smile even wider.
“Well, I can’t wait for the both of you to be there.” You said.
“Do you know who else is going?” Jack asked.
“Oh, Spot and Race, Albert, Katherine, Mush, Elmer, and a few others, but just close friends.” You said and Jack kept looking at Davey. “Oh shit, I’m gonna be late for class. Thanks for talking boys, but I’ve got to go. Bye!”
“There’s no way I can ask them out now, everyone’s going to her party.” Davey said, trying not to panic.
“We’ll see about that.” Jack said, but Davey couldn’t focus on anything he was saying.
“Jack, Kath, you made it!” You said, opening the door to let the couple in.
“We wouldn’t miss it for the world. Now, where do I put your present?” Katherine asked, and you pointed to a table with a couple other presents on it. Jack immediately went over to find Davey while you were talking with Katherine.
“Did you ask them yet?” Jack asked and Davey shook his head.
“I tried. But they kept wanting help with things and I couldn’t find the right time.” He explained and Jack rolled his eyes.
“Come on, I’ll help you.” Jack said and Davey’s eyes widened.
“Listen everyone, I suggest we get this party started the right way, with a fun game, don’t you all agree?” Jack asked and there were scattered cheers. “So, how about a game of Seven Minutes in Heaven?” There were more cheers.
Seven Minutes in Heaven was fun for you. You had never played anything like this before. A few people had gone and suddenly you heard your name.
“Well, looks like we got Y/N and, Albert!” Jack said, not expecting that. Davey’s face changed to a slight frown as you stood up to walk in the closet with Albert. “Remember, use condoms. Your time starts when you walk in that closet.”
“Jack, I thought you were trying to help me!” Davey exclaimed quietly.
“Okay look, I meant to say your name, I really did, but I screwed up and accidentally said Alberts.” Jack said and Davey groaned. “I’m real sorry Dave. But you can still tell them.”
Being in the closet with Albert was, awkward to say the least.
“Look, I know you like Davey, so I’m not gonna make you kiss me or anything.” Albert said.
“What? How do you know- I don’t like Davey!” You said unconvincingly.
“Sure, and the grass isn’t green.” Albert said, smirking.
“Is it that obvious?” You asked and he nodded.
“Yes, but don’t worry, because Davey likes you too.” He said. “Just tell him, it’ll be easy.”
“Thanks Albert. Well, we’ve still got like three minutes left, so this is gonna be awkward.” You said.
“Tell me a secret you’ve never told anyone before.” Albert said.
“You tell me one.” You retorted.
“Fine. I made out with a girl in an empty classroom once. Your turn.” He said smugly and you groaned.
“Okay well, I’ve never been kissed before. And I want Davey to be my first kiss.” You admitted.
“That’s really sweet, I thought it was gonna be something dirty.” Albert said and you rolled your eyes.
“Guys you got ten seconds left, so put your clothes back on.” Jack called from outside the door. You opened the door and walked back to your place next to Davey on the couch.
“How was it?” Davey asked.
“It was, fine.” You said, getting more awkward. Before Davey could say anything, you cut in again. “I’m going to get drinks, anyone want anything?”
In the kitchen, you were trying to control your breath. You just got really awkward with your best friend. What the fuck was wrong with you?
“Hey Y/N?” You heard Davey ask, walking into the kitchen.
“Yeah? Oh hey Davey.” You said.
“What do you mean?” You asked and he took a deep breath.
“I have something to tell you.” He said and you signaled for him to keep going. “Well, ever since our sophomore year I’ve had this massive crush on you. And I know you probably don’t like me back and you’ve got a thing with Albert going on now I just thought you should know-“
“Shut up and kiss me.” You said, taking Davey by surprise. Nonetheless he moved closer to you and gently connected his lips with yours. You were frozen in place, this was everything you’d ever wish for. You tried to kiss back, but you weren’t really sure what you were doing. Davey didn’t seem to mind as he kept his lips connected to yours. Finally, the two of you pulled apart.
“I finally got it.” You said.
“What?” Davey asked, confused.
“My birthday wish.” You said, making the both of you smile.
