2. What’s your favourite thing about David?

Hm, I could say so many things, and I don’t know if I want to focus on what’s my fave thing about David as a character, or what’s my fave thing about him as a person. Or both. 

My fave thing is… well, that he’s David. And if I forget about all the things that make him a great character, like trans MoC representation, Lukas’ amazing acting, how he’s written, how real he seems, and all that… My favourite thing is that he’s creative, but he’s no suffering artist. He has a history, but he’s not just a victim, he’s cool, but he’s also a doofus and sometimes insecure, as well, he’s caring, but not overprotective. He’s a great, interesting guy and he’s just the right guy for Matteo. I don’t know. I just like that he has all these layers. 

12. Would you change anything about David? If so, what?

Nothing!

17. What’s your favourite David outfit?

This shirt (he looks so relaxed and free in it). And because I’m horrible at google searches, I couldn’t find a good image of it, soooo it’s lucky I painted it): 

37. Do you believe we’ll get a David season? If so, why?

I used to think that we wouldn’t get one. Right now, though, I feel like there has been so many twists and turns, I can’t predict anything and I think that anything can happen. :)

Hey, thank you so much for the questions. And for making this ask game in the first place. It is so much fun to answer them!

32. Do you see Davenzi becoming parents?

Good question. Well they are still very young so it’s very hard for me to picture them as parents. But for me they are soulmates that grow old together. So maybe in like 10 years when they are older, why not? Now that I think about it I feel like they could be very good parents!

38. Is there an object that reminds you of David?

Yes there is! It’s the water handle thing that David picks up in the abandoned swimming pool. I have three of them in my flat as well (even though they are green instead of red) and seeing them everyday just makes me miss him even more!

45. Would you rather a David season or a wlw Laura season?

I would prefer a David season. I don’t know Laura very well and therefore I am not as interested in her as in David. Also I feel like a season about her wouldn’t feature the other characters since I don’t picture her very close with any of them except David and Matteo.

40. Is there a flower that reminds you of David?

I just googled flowers because I have no idea about that gardening stuff. Maybe sunflowers because I have that one picture that @leoniejulie drew and posted on IG@davenziohyes in mind where David is like submerged in sunflowers and it looks absolutely beautiful. But maybe I‘m biased because I just love sunflowers. Otherwise any wildflower would suit his aesthetic.

52. Which element (fire, earth, air and water) would you assign to David?

Air I think. I‘m that element myself and I just feel it fits him the best. He is very lightweight if that makes sense. His story is so heavy but as soon as he kind of got to the point of telling people and letting go it felt like he‘s floating. I‘m not sure how to describe it. He is this pleasant breeze in the friendgroup. He is not obtrusive but he just floats around the group and always helps with keeping the dynamic stable so there is no bad vibes. I get that kind of vibe from him. He is a solid part in the friendgroup but somehow manages to be so subtle that you’re never annoyed by him being present. We all know those friends in the group who can just tend to be annoying after some time of hanging out together. You never feel like you‘re exhausted of being around him. He always manages to add a refreshing breeze to whatever he is doing. (Why am I so into this I literally have no idea what I‘m talking about.)

53. Would you rather draw like David or cook like Matteo/Laura?

This is an easy one. I don’t enjoy eating the stuff that Matteo and Laura cooked. I‘m sure they taste amazing but I‘m such a picky eater so I wouldn’t really benefit from being able to cook nicely. Drawing on the other hand is so cool especially in the style that David has. I wish I could draw. :)

18. If you could have one piece of clothing from David which one would it be?

I know it’s a cliche, but it would have to be his beanie. :)

32. Do you see Davenzi becoming parents?

Yes, I can imagine Matteo and David becoming parents one day, if they want to. They are young yet, though, and something tells me that they want to live a little before they make a family.

49. Who do you think has the most brain cells, David or Amira?

Hah, who knows about brain cells, but they’re both pretty smart, I’m certain about that! They both have this deadly combination of street-smarts mixed with book knowledge. Can’t beat that. ;)

Hi, thanks for these!! 💜  This David ask game is a fun way to participate this week, so thanks a lot for asking me! 

3. What’s your least favourite thing about David?

Hah, that’s tricky. Is there anything not likable with him? Well, I suppose this running away thing is the most tricky thing with him as a character (also because it’s far too relatable to me). And still… it’s very human, though. I can’t love him less because of it. But, yeah, that’s the only thing I can think of, and that’s probably because he mirrors this side of me too well. 

11. Do you think David is a well-written character?

Yes, he is. He’s a whole and three-dimensional character who develops through the seasons. He is definitely well written. I would love to know more about his background, sure, but I understand the choices done by the show to keep it like it is. 

31. Do you think Davenzi will last or that they’ll break up?

I don’t really believe in soulmates, but… hello, Matteo and David are soulmates. They will last. 😉 💕

12. Would you change anything about David? If so, what? Absolutely nothing. This character is amazingly written and portrayed and he‘s had such a great development.

13. What do you think is David’s favourite movie aside from Only Lovers Left Alive? Oh this is probably the worst question to ask me because I don’t know any movies. I‘ve barely watched 15 different ones in my whole life. I do see him being into Hitchcock movies. Fits his aesthetic :D

25. If David gets his season, what do you want it to be about? Him. I don’t want to see something that happened with Amira happen again. It annoyed me so much. I want him to tell us his story; to tell the general public his story. We already love and appreciate him so much but we need to get his story out in the open. We need that kind of representation. I want to know all about his background. His family. His social and ethnical background. He has so so so much potential.

26. Do you think that Laura and Matteo should play a big part in David’s season? I want them to support him. To be there for him. The focus should be on David obviously but I think especially Laura should play a significant role since I believe that Davids family background is something that needs to be explored. I‘d love for Druck to maybe explore Matteos depression as a backstory but if that interferes with telling Davids story I think Davids story being told is more important in that case.

32. Do you see Davenzi becoming parents? Shoutout to the Druck Telegram groupchat because we were obsessing over David and Matteo being Parents in my Sims 4 game. I definitely see them being parents in the future but they have time. <3

43. Would rather be David for a day or Matteo? I‘d love to be David for a day. He is so talented, athletic, creative and damn handsome and I can’t relate to any of those things :D Not that Matteo isn’t amazing but... have you seen David?

51. Do you think David would do a couples costume with Matteo for Halloween? They‘d probably plan to do so and then Matteo would just turn up to the party in normal clothes because he forgot that he was supposed to wear his costume (just like he forgot that it was Mottowoche). Then David would be like... ah damn it I knew this would happen and just pull of his vampire outfit by himself.

5. What do you think David would do for a job after school? I‘m sure he‘d try to follow his dream of making movies so my guess is he‘d study to become a director or something similar.

6. Do you have anything in common with David? Already answered this one but I‘d say we both tend to run from our problems.

42. Is there a song that reminds you of David? Obviously Heaven by The Blaze but also Kill Our Way To Heaven by Michl (this is so similar to Michi...these coincidences I swear) because that song is the song I made my first Davenzi edit with and I get the butterflies every time I hear it.

4. What word do you associate with David?

That's a very hard question. But weirdly I associate him the most with the word eyelash. Whenever someone talks about it or points one out to someone else I am reminded of him!

18. If you could have one piece of clothing from David which one would it be?

I would choose the grey knitted pullover he wears in the pool scene in episode 9 and matteo wears in the breakfast clip with Laura. I love knitted pullovers and wear them almost the whole winter.

52. Which element (fire, earth, air and water) would you assign to David?

Well I don't know any of the theory of the four elements. So I have no idea what they really mean. But I would associate David with air. He can be soft like a summer breeze but when he is upset he can be furious like a storm. I also think that it fits to his coping mechanism of running away.
