the show is supposed to be constructed from David’s point of view as an unreliable narrator, so what if the reason Amy and the Hallers were never mentioned in season 3 was because David fixated on the idea of his biological parents? this way, he forces the audience to accompany him on this fixation

these kids though. they survived a fucking school shooting, a severely traumatic experience and they’re out there, taking the national stage, screaming and crying with renewed vigor and i just. I know I’m only 21, but I’ve been so jaded and depressed about the world recently and then they came out and are fighting tooth and nail for the world and I.  I want to fight and bleed for them and  I’m so amazed and in awe of them and proud of them and they’re giving me hope
