I would like “misinterpret misquoted experts on popcrave” on a tshirt LOL very 2020s pop culture that will probably be a defining way we remember this era. That and all the bots and engagement baiters immediately in any comment section

What are your thoughts on the album?
I think it’s great but then it’s extremely up my alley sonically anyway so I’m not shocked by how into it I am. The live versions are all killer. I’m so happy he did ONO on Netflix.
- This is maybe in order, maybe not tbd, but my stand outs are RSG!, Carla’s Song, S2WL, CUR, AYLY?, AG, DNM. Cannot overstate how obsessed I am with RSG! and Miss Carla in particular but I love all of em.
- I liked Aperture a lot anyway but I think it’s an excellent opener for this album and again the live version elevates the feeling of it so beautifully. For an album made by the atmosphere created deep in the mix, it’s impressive that atmosphere is translated so well in the live arrangements.
- My Hot Take of the Album™️: Taste Back does nothing for me. I don’t dislike it as much as I did Little Freak or Only Angel but it’s nearing that camp. Sometimes I listen, sometimes I skip. It seems like a real fan fave but sadly not for moi.
- Paint by Numbers itself I actually quite like, love when Harry is in his Beatles bag. I just don’t get it within context of the album. Sticks out a bit, no?
- Maybe a second hot take? Pop…idk. I tweeted that it feels like Daft Punk doing Thriller, which conceptually I’m into (and also conceptually = the weeknd lol). I love the bridge, I like the pre-chorus, the snare sound is great. I struggle with the melody and the sound of the chorus, which somehow feels listless despite how big it is? Maybe it’s the guitar as well? Idk. Something in the mixing choices and instrumentation feels hollow. Still pondering this one. Certainly see myself enjoying it live tho.
Too early to tell where it will fall within my harry album rankings. I think it’s a less cohesive album listen than either Fine Line or HH, but it has many immediate all timer Harry tracks for me so what’s that math? 🤷🏻♀️ no clue
I’m so curious how this album will age as his discography grows. I think he’s doing SO much interesting stuff here – will this be seen as a big pivot point or just a detour in his approach?
