Yes, it's yet another acapella cover of a song from Cardiacs' "Sing to God" album by the 180Gs!!
Yes, it's a pirate version of "That Tree" by Snoop Dogg w Kid Cudi. I did it for a remix contest a couple years ago and somehow managed to come in 3rd out of a few thousand entries. The lead vocals are from the original but everything else was recorded here. My wife, Kelly and my good friend Sander helped out with the vocals. The shanty at the end was written by Sander and I about 20 years ago.
David Minnick remixed Rivers Cuomo's 'My Brain Is Working Overtime' into this swing band ditty for a somewhat (not really) recent Indabamusic.com remix contest. Minnick's version of the Weezer b-side sounds like the result of a jam session between Danny Elfman and Man Man--complete with a trombone solo and Wizard of Oz riffs towards the end. Give it a listen.
'My Brain is Working Overtime' was unleashed into the airways this past November on Weezer's 'Death to False Metal' album of previously unreleased tracks.
