David Pegg was considered one of the best up and coming outside left (left forward) in his generation. He was given his debut by Sir Matt Busby at just 17 years old. It wasn’t hard to see why, as he continued to impress in his 6 year career at Manchester United.
He scored 24 goals for the club in 127 games. He was capped for England NT just once however he was soon to be a regular for the Three Lions.
However, he was sadly one of the 8 players who lost their lives in the Munich air disaster. He was just 22 years old.
