UPFEST 2016
by Mr June
After six years of hip hop, breakdancing, and graffiti, Dutch artist David Louf, aka Mr June, moved on to a graphic design program and budding career as an advertising art director. June quickly realized that the big business environment wasn't for him and started his own multi-disciplinary studio, "Out of Order." He never lost touch with his graffiti roots, however, and his studio practice gives him the freedom to continue expressing himself through his colorful, three-dimensional murals designed to interact with their architectural contexts. For the 2016 Upfest event in Bristol, UK, June spent four days creating this completely freestyle composition at East St and Church Rd. @davidjunelouf/ @upfest/

WYNWOOD, MIAMI
by Mr. June and Mr Cenz (with Love Pusher)
London artist Mr Cenz says he's been scribbling on surfaces since discovering hip-hop and graffiti in the 80s. He completed his first commissioned mural at age 11 and eventually set up his own company, Positive Arts. His work now focuses more on female faces than graffiti, but he still incorporates the same spontaneous abstractions and energy that have always defined his work, and led it to be described as "surrealist graffiti art for the soul." In Wynwood, Miami in 2015 he collaborated on this NW 1st Place wall with Love Pusher (who's work is hidden on the lower-left) and Amsterdam artist David Louf, aka Mr. June. Louf tried his hand at advertising in 2000 and quickly realized he was not cut out for the world of big business. Making a career out of his art has not always been easy but eventually University of the Arts Utrecht recognized his colorful and multidimensional work and invited him to teach the next generation while perfecting his unique take on graffiti, graphic design, and abstract art. @mrcenzone @davidjunelouf @lovepusher @scenesfromthesidewalk
