It was in 1990, I remember when I entered the suite where he was giving an interview, to take his portrait, his gaze. The way he looked at me. An intense, piercing gaze. What can I say about Lynch first… His cinema taught me a lot about photography. And what a cinema! "The Elephant Man", "Blue Velvet", "Twin Peaks", "Wild at Heart" (Palne d'Or 1990), "Lost Highway", "The Straight Story", "Mulholland Drive"… He touched on almost all forms of the visual arts. Screenwriter, actor, painter, musician, author and producer… known for his dreamy and surreal style, as well as the themes that unite his filmography, such as the deconstruction of the concept of America. Lynch is known for juxtaposing surreal or menacing elements with everyday environments, as well as for using captivating visual images to emphasize a dreamlike quality of mystery or menace." O David Lynch μου θύμιζε στον κινηματογραφο οτι η @diane_arbus στην φωτογραφία...

Τον γνωρισα στις Κάννες. Ηταν το 1990 ,Θυμάμαι οταν μπηκα στην σουϊτα που εδινε μια συνεντευξη,για να του κάνω το πορτραιτο,το βλεμμα του.Το πώς με κοίταξε. Ενα εντονο διαπεραστικό βλέμμα.

Τι να πρωτοπώ για τον Lynch...

O κινηματογραφος του μου εμαθε πολλά στην φωτογραφία.
