The banquet is drawing to a close, and his shift is nearing over. Chatter has dwindled to virtually nothing and even the lights fee l darker though he's certain they haven't been dimmed. Trays are returned, glasses are grabbed from tables, floors are swept and Kip finds time to speak to Shawn about remaining chores but not without a small payment of his own, a flute of champagne.
And as he takes a sip from his own, in secret behind a corridor, his eyes catch the entertainment for the evening in his periphery. A dark haired talent of a man that Kip had previously declined to grab a drink for given the fact he had overheard his age.
Something of a prodigy, he heard. Young and talented and- in Kip's opinion- handsome in a way that carries an edge.
Unfortunately, unlike many of the patrons, his conscious would weigh on him if he contributed to a drunken minor through out the night. But...
As they come to a close, and the risk of him nursing drinks hour after hour becomes slimmer and slimmer, he pities him for having to go through this sober- as far as he's aware.
"Excuse me," Kip reaches forward, his hand barely nudging the other's arm with the glass as he approaches and begs attention. A glance is spared over his shoulder, stripped of his coat and now clad casually in a white shirt and vest before the glass is nudged forward. "Um... I figured you earned a little bit of a treat for your work. But-" A hand is brought up to interject. "Drink it quick before I get caught. I have a bottle of water ready."
