"At the scene, Dallas police found Mary Hague Kelly, who was pronounced dead immediately," police said. "There was no evidence of a forced entry into the home, but Kelly's belongings and vehicle were removed from the scene." Investigators obtained DNA samples from Kelly's remains. Meanwhile, a coroner determined that Kelly had been strangled. More than 33 years later, the DNA from Kelly's body matched that of Rojas, police said. It wasn't immediately clear how Rojas knew Kelly, if at all. The police did not give a reason. The Dallas Morning News reported that Kelly was 78 when she was killed. Jail records show Rojas was posted bail of $750,000. Rojas' attorney, Sherrod J. Edwards, did not immediately comment when contacted Tuesday. Read the full article
