I spent the week studying some castles and designing some buildings, also trying to develop some landscape language for my backgrounds.
Last year I had a big problem with faces, I could doodle a bunch of cool looking monsters from imagination, but when I tried drawing any human face from imagination, it would just look awful. I think my faces have gotten a lot better since then, but now I’m finding myself at the same place with backgrounds. A lot of my old background pieces that I think look good are for the most part just flat doodles (except the one before this), and now that I’m putting thought into how they look from different angles, things are getting really tricky. Need to study more...
