Davina couldn’t deny that she’d had a long day. It was her first day of many that’d she’d been trapped inside the back of a moving van, for her own protection of course, that she’d been allowed outside. It was good to get out of New Orleans and away from her old life. Granted being a vampire didn’t exactly make things easy. It was going to be difficult to get along without her magic.
But she’d make it work.
She’d been trapped in that god forsaken truck for four days, on the cross country drive from New Orleans to her new home, Beacon Hills. And she knew that Marcel was going to head back to manage the Quarter. She was on her own, to start again.
Soon as they had arrived at her new house, Marcel had gifted her with a daylight ring and wished her luck, and after a long and rather sad goodbye, she was left to her own devices.
Which brought her here, seated beneath the shade of a tree, enjoying the solitude of a fresh start, and watching the people pass along the hiking trail she’d found her solace on.
Eyes caught sight of one person in particular, and she was up from her spot in a flash of speed, and jogging next to him.
“Hey---uhm, you looked a little lonely, mind if I join you?”
