Thank you so much for the ask! In response to this post! You can find my answers under the cut!
💢 - Person they can't stand
This changes for Violet as she ages/matures. But I feel like the person who held this title for the longest time in Violet’s life was Aviva. She was jealous of Aviva for the crush Zach had on Aviva at science camp (in my au he had a crush on Aviva while they were at science camp!). And Aviva also treated Violet poorly while she was at science camp.
In many ways, Aviva bullied Violet. She thought Violet was being negatively influenced by Zach, and she was always confrontational with Violet because of this. She genuinely believed Violet could do better in her life than associate with Zach, but she ostracized Violet in the process and subsequently initiated a nearly decade long feud between them.
The only thing that ended the feud was the traumatic birth of Zach and Violet’s eldest daughter Varina. Had Aviva and the rest of the Wild Kratts not assisted when Violet went into premature labor, Violet and Varina would have died. Violet decided to reflect and look past her own feelings of resentment toward Aviva for the past and open a new chapter of friendship between them.
⚰️ - Someone they lost (not necessarily dead)
Violet’s life is overshadowed by loss. All the members of her immediate family (the family she was born into) passed before she was 12. Violet’s parent struggled with fertility issues, pregnancy losses, and infant mortality of their children. Her parents lost two sons and a daughter prior to Violet’s birth: Sterling, River, and Lily. After her parents successfully had Violet they tried for another baby, but Violet’s little sister Rose passed as an infant when Violet was four years old.
Then, when Violet was only 11 years old, her parents Alden and Virginia “Dawn” Tyler, died simultaneously due to a tragic accident. While Violet was cared for and raised by her maternal aunt Amy from this point forward, these losses still greatly impacted her.
And when Violet finally found love and was embarking on starting a family of her own, loss struck again. Violet and Zach lost their first daughter Alexandria when Violet was only 5 months pregnant. This loss in itself was soul shattering for Violet, and of all the losses she experienced, this one was one she never really recovered from.
I have debated on other aspects of Violet’s family, and I feel that Violet’s maternal grandparents are both deceased as well. Her paternal grandparents, on the other hand are a bit of a different story. I feel like she does not have a relationship with them due to the trauma her father endured in his upbringing. So her grandparents on both sides of her family may also be additional losses for her. I’m still figuring this out though.
