MOON 44

Dawnscreech notices that Goosewing has kept a tuft of her fur in her nest.

Goosewing wonders why her mother can't act like the loving cat she used to be.

Thymestar had a mock-battle with Goosewing. Thymestar notices that Goosewing is always the first to volunteer for a difficult task.

Rowanheart offered to groom a hard-to-reach spot for Goosewing.

Dappledwind and Rowanheart found out they had more in common than they thought.

Dawnscreech is talking to Quiverstripe.

Dappledwind and Quiverstripe had a fight. Quiverstripe has been calling Dawnscreech crazy.

Dawnscreech is surprised by Weaselfeather being thoughtful.

Redstripe promised to cover for Goosewing, but ended up letting her down.

While patrolling, Dappledwind finds an injured queen and helps bring her and her kits to the Clan.

Dawnscreech searches for her mate, but finds her cuddling with another cat. Crestfallen, she doesn't listen as Dappledwind rushes to explain. (Dappledwind's best friend outside of Dawn is Redstripe, who she has no romantic feelings for. She was stressing about the way Dawnscreech has been behaving, and needed a friend to calm her).

Rowanheart was talking with Dappledwind, and was disappointed with Dappledwind's lack of interest.

Pondheart left a gift for Goosewing in her nest for her to find.

Goosewing and Dawnscreech patrolled together. It went surprisingly well! Goosewing begins to hope that her mother has gotten better, until she sees her glowering off in the distance, and the hope fades.

Quiverstripe feels safe with Dawnscreech around.

Dawnscreech gave Grayflame advice.

Dawnscreech has gotten heat stroke.

Dappledwind is expecting kits!

Goosewing confides insecurities in Dawnscreech. Dawnscreech is understanding and comforts her.

Dawnscreech and Dappledwind had a single kit: Basilkit.

In the emotion of it all, Dappledwind promises to always fight for her family.

Goosewing visits her younger sister in the nursery, promising to always look out for her. It's a nice break from reality, when just a few days ago, Pondheart had died.

Basilkit is showing off her toe-beans.

Goosewing excitedly tells Dawnscreech about a accomplishment, but she scolds her. Goosewing instantly becomes cold and withdrawn, and storms away.

Redstripe comes up with a plan to sneak out of camp with Goosewing.

Goosewing brought Wormkit gifts, and the kit decorates their nest with them.

Wrenfoot asks Dawnscreech how she's doing.

Russetpelt thinks that Dawnscreech isn't so bad after all.

MOON 50

Goosewing had a nice talk with Dawnscreech about last night's rain. But when she suggests that it was StarClan's paws on the roof, Dawnscreech snaps, and Dappledwind comes between them. When Dappledwind first asks Dawnscreech if she's okay, Goosewing yells at her for caring more about Dawnscreech than her daughter.

Dappledwind gives advice to Dawnscreech and orders her to eat.

Basilkit, out of nowhere, tackles Dawnscreech with her claws out, squealing to play. Dawnscreech is instantly filled with terror and lashes out, snarling with a paw raised, but luckily snaps out of it the moment she sees her kit. But before she can lower her paw, she's shoved to the ground by Goosewing. Goosewing protectively sticks around Basilkit for the rest of the day.

Goosewing has gotten frostbite! She refuses treatment from Dawnscreech.

Weaselfeather and Dappledwind talk.

Redstripe and Goosewing get along.

Basilkit runs around camp, full of energy!

Dawnscreech tries to playfully tease Goosewing about her clear crush on Chestnuttuft, but Goosewing isn't in the playful mood.

Dappledwind complains how Chestnuttuft never does anything helpful.

Dappledwind purrs for a long time at Dawnscreech's lame jokes.

Grayflame considers Dappledwind to be one of their closest friends.

Goosewing recovered from frostbite!

Basilkit rushes to Dawnscreech and tells her to come quick because Redstripe is hurt. Turns out it was only a game, and Basilkit is scolded. Goosewing comes to her defense, calmly telling Dawnscreech that it was only a harmless game.

Dawnscreech wants to tell Goosewing that she's not crazy, she was right to scold Basilkit--even if upsetting her daughters hurts her--but she knows Goosewing wouldn't believe her. She wonders if her daughter still loves her.

Basilpaw is apprenticed to Fennelglare!

While on patrol, Goosewing and Chestnuttuft chase off a small dog together.

Dawnscreech goes to talk with Goosewing, but she tells her to leave her alone.

There's been storm after storm...Dawnscreech wonders if StarClan itself had declared war with them.

Dawnscreech is teaching the young apprentices about the danger of deathberries, when she becomes convinced that cats were poisoned when more than a few cats are coughing. She tears about the fresh-kill pile, searching for the berries in the prey, until she is torn away. The pile is ruined.

Goosewing looks longingly at her Clanmates that cuddling and chat with their mothers without issue.

Basilpaw, after working really hard all day, presses her fur into Dawnscreech. Dawnscreech looks at her, wishing her mind could stay this clear. She doesn't want to keep hurting her kits. She doesn't want Basilpaw to hate her too.

Dawnscreech goes to talk with Goosewing, but Goosewing simply tells her that she doesn't want to talk to her.

Dawnscreech begs Basilpaw to wake up early to watch the sunrise with her. She tries not to show how sad she is when Basilpaw wakes up complaining. She just wanted to have as many happy memories as she could...

Basilpaw, and the rest of her patrol, became ill after eating a bad rabbit.

Goosewing and Basilpaw are in the middle of a prank war.

Goosewing asks Dawnscreech what she did wrong, and they have a tear-filled heart-to-heart. Maybe things will be better now?

I also want to say that Kestrelpaw had one mom’s pelt and the other mom’s eyes, and Goodewing was the same but switched (Dawnscreech’s eyes, Dappledwind’s fur)

Omg so does DawnScreech think GooseWing is GooseSpots?

Yep!

She’ll have a profile that’ll explain it in more depth, but basically her guilt has been building more and more. She believes that Goosespots has come back as her daughter to punish her and torment her. That’s why she believes anything bad happening to the Clan/her family is his doing.

But it’s not a 24/7 thing!

Dawnscreech will have moments where she only sees Goose as her darling baby and treats her as such. But when she sees her as Goosespots, she sort of blacks out in a way. She doesn’t remember her episodes, so she doesn’t remember treating Goosewing harshly, which is why she’s confused when Goose doesn’t want to spend time with her.

With every moon, she spends more time in longer and longer episodes and less time “aware.”

Goosekit wails at the top of her lungs when born. Dawnscreech thinks that it sounds like Goosespots' cries had.

MOON 34

Goosepaw becomes apprenticed to Thymestar, Kestrelpaw is apprenticed to Quiverstripe.

Dawnscreech forgets an important ingredient in a poultice.

MOON 36

Kestrelpaw was killed by a predator at seven moons old.

Goosepaw falls sick. She asks Dawnscreech what it's like in StarClan. Meanwhile, Dappledwind can hardly get out of her nest. It seems Kestrelpaw's death broke everyone.

MOON 37

With Dappledwind lost in her own grief and Dawnscreech burying herself in work, Goosepaw has no one to talk to. Redstripe lets Goosepaw share her troubles with him.

Dappledwind watches Fennelglare scornfully.

Dappledwind comforts Redstripe after a nightmare.

Goosepaw argues with Russetpelt.

MOON 38

Dappledwind got a broken bone while patrolling with Goosepaw.

Dawnscreech insists that Goosepaw gets first pick of the fresh-kill pile after a good training session.

MOON 39

Dawnscreech spent a lot of time with Goosepaw and was impressed by Goosepaw's insight.

Goosepaw pushes Dawnscreech out of the way of a falling branch. But Dawnscreech can only see Goosespots coming at her, and fearfully lashes out with her claws. Goosepaw isn't hurt badly, but is devastated, and asks Dawnscreech why she's being like this.

Chestnuttuft thinks that Goosepaw has been acting strange lately. He talks with Dawnscreech, who wonders if it's because Goosepaw has lived here before. Was that why she's so good in training?

MOON 40

Dawnscreech believes a sign from StarClan is warning them of a big conflict, and everyone prepares. When time passes and nothing happens, her Clanmates good-naturally tease her about her "big battle."

Dappledwind is still in pain from her wound. She asks Dawnscreech to stay with her, and epxresses worry over dying.

Dawnscreech takes Goosewing out on patrol and accuses him of hurting Dappledwind--she had been injured while with him, after all! She calls him 'Goosespots' and demands he leave her and her family alone. Hurt and confused, Goosewing runs off.

MOON 41

There's an outbreak of greencough, made worse by mold growing on the herbs. Dawnscreech recognizes as a patch Goosewing had gathered for her, and accuses her of trying to poison the Clan. Goosewing asks if that's really what she thinks of her.

Dawnscreech wants to check on Dappledwind, but Dappledwind doesn't let her, angry at how she had snapped at their daughter.

MOON 42

Dawnscreech becomes convinced that there's a sign that a famine is starting, and insists that everyone keeps hunting. The prey pile ends up rotting because there's more than cats can eat. When she still insists on hunting more, cats begin to look at her like she's crazy.

Redstripe wants to spend more time with Goosewing.

Dawnscreech wants to explore the whole territory with Goosewing. She refuses, and gets angry when Dawnscreech acts hurt.

Goosewing never realized how much she loves spending time with Chestnuttuft. It's a nice break from everything.
