the former nobody turns in his chair,  the controls of the gummiship now at his back,  fixing his companion with a slight tilt of the head,  coupled with a flicker of curiosity through deep blues.     riku’s gentle touch to the side of his neck hadn’t scared him or anything ;    it had simply set his nerves alight with anxious anticipation.     was ... was that a  kiss?     or is he  IMAGINING  things?

SNUFKIN  IS  QUIET  AS  HE  OBSERVES  the beauty of the winter sea.     from his perch atop the cliff overlooking the beach,  he has an uninterrupted view of everything from the forest to the horizon ;    though it isn’t a very  protected  place ... he  CERTAINLY  won’t be able to camp here.

still,  it’s interesting to be able to watch the gulls dive into the churning waters.     in fact,  it’s  inspiring!

inspiring enough for  A  TUNE.

the half   mymble pulls his harmonica from its hiding place in his pack & raises it to his lips to  play,   the lilting tune echoing along the stone of the cliff side.     his tune is somewhat mournful,  though,  played in honor of those that cannot appreciate winter’s beauty due to hibernation or vanishing to the south.

doesn't this guy look like he could fit right in with his silver hair and eyes that's the same color as the sea? oh man, it just makes him want to go to the beach!

ROXAS  REACTS  DEFENSIVELY  AT  FIRST,   curling in on himself a bit as nervous teeth sink into the flesh of his pouty lower lip & indignant fire lights up deep blue eyes.     he’s  caught.     riku has always been able to see right through him,  hasn’t he?

“  ... why do you want to know?  ”     he deflects,  trying to cool the heat of embarrassment that’s overloading his poor body.     it’s already  HOT  ENOUGH  being trapped beneath the heavy leather of his organization coat ...     “  you sound like you  already  know  the  answer.  ”

“   i  don’t  really  know  myself .   ”           @dawnwalks​,   from  HERE.

THERE’S  A  SOFT  HUM  as roxas turns his gaze out to the setting sun where it graces the sea.     the destiny islands have always been ... one of his favorite places to visit,  &  perhaps it’s moments like these that drive the notion home.     he trusts riku to be  honest  with him,  something that may not have happened had they not come together under these circumstances ... had roxas not allowed himself to  DROP  HIS  GUARD  as he had.

it’s ... nice.     REALLY  NICE,  in fact.

“  i don’t really think  any  of  us  really do,  riku,  ”     is his gentle response,  complete with a gentle touch of a gloved hand to the keyblade master’s shoulder.     “  isn’t that what this whole  LIFE  THING  is about?     figuring all of that out?  ”
