A Place Where Someone Still Thinks of You ~
Unlike the original members of Team Seven, Sakura did not have a particularly troubling childhood. At least, she grew up in a stable environment with two loving parents who wanted nothing but the best for their baby girl. Being an only child, she was relatively spoiled. Sakura wasn't a particularly fussy child and she didn't ask for much, so they had no trouble acquiescing to her requests when they were given.
Her tou-chan was the center of her world for the longest time; rather, Sakura was the center of her tou-chan's world. She still is. He dotes upon his baby girl and is often quite saddened by the fact she is no longer so little. He was the parent that would immediately cave to any suggestion of Sakura’s, since he was always a sucker for her big green eyes (so very much like her mothers) and her outrageous pout. Kizashi is a relatively simple man; he’s generally easy-going and kindhearted, and witty as well. He’s also prone to being extremely honest, something which tends to get him into a spot of trouble with his wife on occasion. These traits make him all the more endearing to Sakura. The medic is an unashamed daddy's girl, and will never hesitate to claim relation to him, even if he's behaving in an embarrassing manner.
Sakura gets the majority of her personality from her kaa-san. Although she possesses a similar sense of humor to her father, Sakura tends to be more serious on a general basis, rather like her mother. Mebuki is considerably more of a no nonsense type of person and she was the one that dealt with the majority of the disciplinary actions when they were needed, which was admittedly rare. Their relationship is ever so slightly more tense, as Mebuki wants her daughter to settle down and start a family soon. After all, she's not going to stay young forever ~
Her relationship with her parents is as perfect as it can get. Though she cares very much for the both of them and them for her, she is still their child and they are still her parents; thus, there is the occasional tiff that is almost always resolved in a timely manner. They are not very good at keeping grudges toward each other for very long. Sakura still lives with her parents and is likely to do so until they kick her out, or until the day she decides to settle down and get married, whichever comes first. Presently, the former seems to be the most likely eventuality, though her parents claim that they would rather she stick around to take care of them in their advanced ages. She’s always amused by this, though she must admit that this arrangement works more in her favor than in theirs. After all, her parents are the perfect roommates: Mebuki is an extremely accomplished cook (unlike Sakura, who’s culinary skills are solely regulated to baking), and Kizashi has a certain skill with fixing things that are in broken around the house.
Sakura doesn't come from a large clan; in fact, there are only a handful of Konoha residents retaining the name 'Haruno.' The only relatives she is particularly close to are her paternal grandparents, who are both well-advanced in age. Her obaa-san has a habit of tag teaming with her kaa-san to try to rope her into actively pursuing a committed relationship. She's always been fond of listening to the stories that both her grandparents are infamous for telling, and she's been known to sit still for hours and listen to them speak. It's something she's done since she was very young.
She considers the members of Team Kakashi to be family. They don't have any living relatives of their own, and so she's sort of taken it into their head not to let them ever be alone again. Sakura will behave toward them as a comrade, a friend, a respected colleague...but she will also behave as a sister or a mother, if that is what she feels they need. Hatake Kakashi is something of a second father figure to her. He has been instrumental in her survival through several key points in her life, and she honestly feels as if she owes him more than she can ever repay him properly. Yamato is sort of like the protective older brother that she'd always wanted and Sai...Well, he's like a mixture of an exasperating kid brother and a prodigal child. She's so proud of how far he's come, and she'll always be there for him when he needs an explanation.
And Naruto...? Well, she's still confused about exactly what she feels for him. Sakura has always been that nagging presence in his life, and that hasn't changed now that he's become Hokage. In fact, she feels that her position as his assistant only provides more opportunity to look after him properly. He's liable to work himself to the bone if she didn't. She's had a lot of time to sort through her feelings toward him, but she still doesn't quite understand them. She does know that she loves him, though, and she's thankful everyday that he's still there with her.
To Sakura, 'family' isn't a term that should be relegated to only blood relatives. She's come a long way from the weak little fangirl who didn't really understand anything of the world, and now she knows for certain that a family is made up of all the people that are most precious to you; the ones that you would throw down your life for without question, without hesitation, should the need arise. Every single person residing within the walls of Konoha are a part of a large family, and that is the family that strives so hard to keep safe and continue to protect and heal. A 'home' to her isn't defined by walls and a particular plot of land. It's being wherever that family needs her the most. That's home to her.
Day 16- Favorite “mother” moment (the yellow umbrella, foot, etc)
St. Patrick's Day. not that it had anything to actually do with the mother, i just really like that episode. probably one of my favorite episodes of season 3.
THG 30 day challenge :D (spoilers)
Day 16 A question you wish had been answered in the books:
A couple. First if it really was Gale's bomb that killed Prim. I just want to know. Also Katniss and Peeta's children's names (: I saw a fanfiction that said the daughter's name was Rose. That would never happen. Everybody who read the books should know that Katniss HATES roses.
Day 16 - Go on your dashboard, write down the name of 3 first blogs whose posts appear and tell us who you'd marry, who you'd fuck, and who you'd kill
I don't want to do this one. It's stupid!
Day 16, 17/49.
Is there anyone you would do anything for?
There's a few select people. :3 Especially fam.
Who was the last person you talked to for more than 10 minutes on the phone?
Uh, I think it was my Babycakes. I'm not sure though.
Day 15, 16/49.
What's stopping you from going for the person you like?
There's alot of stuff, I dunno. We're not right for each other.
When was the last time you cried really hard?
Thursday night.
Day 16.
3 things you are proud about your personality.
Uh, well.
I'm a pretty understanding person when it comes to other people.
I'm actually a nice person, until you give me a reason not to be.
& I can give really good advice.
