really funny and you can probably tell but i actually somehow forgot rasbis horns until i already started coloring this

As the 0# Painter fan ever, I wanna get your opinion on something I’ve been curious about for awhile. Do you think Painter wouldn’t mind the it/its pronouns that Urbanshade/the game often uses for him, or would he find them dehumanizing? Like, in one of his lines with Seb, Painter refers to himself as “something” rather than “someone,” so like, would he be okay with it/its??

I was hoping to ask Urbanshadewritingdivision, but they deactivated so. Gotta get fandom input!

painter isn’t viewed as a sentient “person” with feelings or any kind of emotions by most if not all of the urbanshade employees—hence the “it/its” and how they refer to him as a tool or object. this, i believe, rubbed off on him significantly, kind of “conditioning” him to ALSO only view himself as more of an object and/or tool than a sentient being. that’s why he refers to himself the way he does (“something” rather than “someone.”) i think he is unaware of how dehumanizing it is because that’s kind of what he was “taught” so to say.

i think that if he were aware of the weight and meaning behind how they refer to him and how he’s learned to refer to himself, he’d have a distaste for how dehumanizing and insulting it is. i’m a firm believer he doesn’t really mind other pronouns like she or they and stuff, i think he might wanna explore a little even when he got out cuz like hey man u haven’t had much time here to focus on who u r.

BUT i do think he would have a general dislike for being referred to as “it” or “something” for a while or just the rest of forever when they escaped the blacksite and he kind of realized what they meant by that. in my heart he knows he’s more than just some tool they used and his sentience means something even if it takes time to be aware of that

[Day 195] - untitled - fankid au stuff

I was just unmotivated to draw something original today, so it's just human battenna family sketches with referenced poses (from @/mellon_soup; but i don't have the og pics on my phone srry)

Actually, I now realised that this post will be my last where I can draw my Battenna fankid Melody, since the next last 5 days are already filled with other things, so now I fell like I wasted today,

& I feel I kinda wasted Melody's character in general. It's difficult to work out oc & au concepts and lore when you have to constantly make posts every day in a limited time.

-So if I come back from my break, I'll 100% won't return fully to daily posting and instead try to focus on the quality of my work rather than quantity. And maybe, in like late May, i finally could work out the story of my fankid au

But speaking of the fankid au, I did try work on a redesign for spamtenna kid: Medianna, but I'll doubt that it'll be finished until next Thursday (aka day 200) so I sadly won't be able to post the finished version (or idk yet)
