the fact the fandom is still around after all this time is so cool too though.. i mean like, the 4 years since the end is tomorrow, and i feel like most other fandoms wouldve fully sizzled out by this time. actually a LOT of other mcyt fandoms sizzle out within like a year since the series ends. outsiders prevails!!
i love this fandom and i love this series and im glad that i poured so much of myself into it, i wouldnt change it for anything <3

Hey, not a proshipper but i did notice your most recent awnser abt proshippers was misinformation
Proshipper stands for “pro” shipper, like being for something, im pretty sure the problematic label was stuck on afterwards by mainly people who are antishippers
Generally as i understand it the proshipper philosophy is just anything goes and to not harass or even care about what other people ship.
Thats the gist of it as i know it, could be wrong but from going around and seeing what proshippers actually say this is what ive gathered

proshipper, for our usage, is short for "problematic shipper," basically who ships things like children x adult, sibling x sibling, parent x child, abuser x victim, etc. anything that is expressly illegal and also like, morally dubious/wrong? i guess? idk i think most people can use some common sense there. i Think.
in most cases, it is the romanticization of these abusive types of relationships. and fiction does, in fact, affect reality. there are studies about this exact thing and about how consuming dark content like this will, evidentally, make you seek out darker things. not to sound like an annoying parent who thinks shooting people in call of duty will make you a shooter in real life, but like, the fantasization of these sorts of things DOES build over time and can be affected through, you guessed, it, fiction! which does include thinks like pro/dark ships
so, pretty much, me and the others just. dont want to interact with people who think that shipping/romanticizing/lowkey fetishizing weird shit like this is okay LMAO.
further context to specifically this blog, i was unfortunately involved with a person in the outsiders fandom who was writing a LOT of porn of the outsiders c!'s. they had a blog dedicated to it. the entirety of the blog was full of weird rape shit and pedophilia, a lot of which was of minors. the blog was LITERALLY named "shota (character who is a minor)", it was very explicit and deeply fucked up. furthermore, MY OWN ART ended up getting referenced in multiple of their posts and turned into something really inappropriate and also vaguely zoophilic? of which i obviously did not consent to this. the blog is gone now, the user themself is still around but doesnt post much on outsiders anymore (i still know their @ but i will not be sharing it) pretty uncomfortable!
tl;dr, proshippers are generally considered as people who romanticize/fetishize abusive types of relationships, and ive had a history with someone in the outsiders community making rape/fetish content of the characters and wrapping my own art (unconsented) in as well
