Nano Day 2 Update
5k words. I wrote early in the morning and I was going to do some more before bed but honestly since I have to get up early I decided not to. I will do that tomorrow night.
Here’s a little snippet without any plot spoilers, fight scenes aren’t my strong suit but I still do my best XD:
Ysgafn was fast but his brother was faster. Each move precise and meant to break down Croi’s guard and energy. He wasn’t going for the kill, just to wear him down. Each hit and kick was aimed right where Croi would be able to block it and give him own. Croi knew it, but he still wasn’t sure how to get past Tywyll’s own guard. All that watching, and Tywyll knew exactly how to fight those around him. Even Samhain, a Seelie Knight, was unable to knock him off his feet.
Out of the twins, Tywyll was the more frightening to Croi in combat. He analyzed and planned for everything he had seen. It was frustrating but also was reassuring that Tywyll was more than likely to know how to keep both himself and his brother alive in any fight.
Tywyll ducked, sliding into Croi and hooking his feet against his. His left shoulder against Croi’s chest. Croi knew it was going to knock him down so instead of trying to correct it. He curled his fingers into the other’s shirt and hip and let Tywyll knock them both down. Feeling the ground and Tywyll’s weight on him knock the air out of him and he breathed through it, bringing his knee up when Tywyll moved to get his feet and pushing the other back more. Knocking him a little off balance. Tywyll still managed to get to his feet but Croi could see the surprise in his eyes. Hell he was surprised himself.
