🔥 WDLBT — Day #42: THE GREAT ARMORY INCIDENT 🔥

What Broke Today:

The Hephaestus Cabin’s entire internal weapon storage pulley system. Yep. The thing literally holding up every sword, spear, and flaming battle axe decided to betray Leo at 10:47AM.

How It Happened:

Leo was, in his own words, “totally minding my business, fixing the crossbow rack” (he wasn’t, he was absolutely messing with Festus’s upgraded talon mechanism indoors for no reason). Cue: random spark, aggressive smoke, and then the entire ceiling-mounted pulley system snapped, sending down a weapon tsunami on the unsuspecting Cabin 9 demigods.

Notable Casualties:

• 3 crossbows, now in pieces

• 2 battle axes embedded in the floor (decorative?)

• Nyssa caught a sword midair and now calls herself “Queen of Reflexes”

• Festus snagged a trident with his tail and is feeling very smug

• Leo’s dignity

Leo’s Official Explanation™:

“I fixed it… technically. Because now nobody’s fighting over weapons. They’re… scattered… equally… all over the floor.”

Annabeth’s Reaction:

Walked in, took one look, muttered “I knew it” and walked back out while muttering about “fireproof disaster goblins.”

Chiron’s Patience Level:

Visibly massaged his temples. Issued an official decree: “Leo Valdez is not permitted to ‘upgrade’ structural equipment without at least two witnesses and a ten-foot distance from Festus.”

Festus Report:

🐉 Happy metallic clicking noises followed by “unhelpful” celebratory tail swishing, causing a nearby sword to fly through the window. Leo considered it a “bonus feature.”

Leo’s Final Tagline of the Day™:

“It’s not broken—it’s just… aggressively unassembled.”
