I am grieving the loss of my 11 year old bunny, Bonbon. She was my entire world, and there was a void in my life when she passed. I am filling that void with another rescue bunny, Big Bertha, who was quite literally on death's doorstep when Dolly's Dream Home got to her. She is now happily living in her forever home with me, and it's been very healing and cathartic for the both of us.

I have depression, anxiety, and undiagnosed ADHD.

I also have non-allergic rhinitis, otherwise known as fake allergies. Yes, it is a thing. Look it up.

I work as a cashier at a grocery store and have high hopes to go into management by the end of the year.

Hobbies and interests:

I bake, draw, paint, write, read, and take nature photos when time allows.

I LOVE Stranger Things (even though they did us dirty season 5).

I collect crystals, gemstones, minerals, and other little Earth trinkets.

I love historical tragedies, good documentaries and docuseries, and fun facts that I will probably never get asked about. Send me the weird shit. The fascinating shit. The most rabbit-hole factoids you know. I would love to add things to my 'random information' arsenal.

My music interests are all over the board, but some of my absolute favorite genres are rock, pop, alternative, and indie, just to name a few.

My favorite music artists are The Rocket Summer, Bastille, and Lø Spirit. I consistently return to them no matter how many different artists I shuffle through.

Halloween is my favorite holiday.

Fall is my favorite season.

Strawberry lemonade, diet cherry pepsi, and coffee are my beverages of choice.

My favorite color is blue.

I am so tired of short-attention-span, trim-the-fat culture. All writing advice these days is for how to write like Chuck Palahniuk. "Cut 'think', cut 'feel', cut 'wonder' - only action, only pushing forward, show and move and move and move." What if I could emulate this style, and still don't want to? What if I want to write like Henry James, with three paragraphs of introspective musings between each dialogue line? The music advice is, "make it shortform, make it Tik-Tok compatible, make it punchy, hit the refrain as soon as possible." What if I want that 10-minute prog rock piece? What if I want that symphony? What if I want it slow and luxurious and lazy? Movies. Series. Poetry. Bodies. Everything is "trimmed trimmed trimmed trimmed, stripped bare, you have three seconds to win me over, make it airport chic." I don't want to win you over, then, I guess. I want the fat left it. I want the pleasure and the indolence and the indulgence. Fuck this art-advice that's always "your art needs Ozempic."
