OKAY. So, this one would be largely full of angst but with a happy ending. (Warnings for brief discussions of canonical and non-canonical character death and mistreatment of children).
Basically, Anakin wins on Mustafar. He manages to kill Obi-Wan and gets back to the ship to find Padmé already dead, the twins lost with her.
He freaks out. This isn't what he was promised! None of this is fair! But he has nothing else to fall back on, so... He just embraces the Empire and doubles down, because he can't bear to admit it was all a mistake. He's right. Palpatine is right. This is all for the greater good.
But he does take their bodies with him, and he does grab some scientists off of Kamino and he does set up a little cloning facility of his own on Mustafar.
And, roughly a year later, the scientists present him with two children. Not the children he lost (the ones Obi-Wan and Padmé STOLE FROM HIM) but adequate replacements.
So. Anakin (Lord Vader, if you're nasty) has cloned versions of Obi-Wan and Padmé. He calls them his children and has them raised mostly in seclusion, because he knows they'd be used against him if any of his rivals in Palpatine's service ever got the chance to get a hold of them.
As they get older, however, they're required to go to public events more and more. (Palpatine is very interested in them, if only as a way to control Vader more). They've received plenty of instructions about how to act in court and so on and so forth.
They've also had far from a kind childhood. Anakin has always been both angry at them for what their genetic sources did and obsessed with keeping them close, hoarding them like a dragon with treasure. But it's the life them know. They're very good at presenting whatever mask the situation calls for, at turns charming and sharp.
But when they're alone, they tend to be nearly completely expressionless. They were raised, after all, by droids and mind-wiped clones. It was far from an ideal childhood, but they ARE growing up and while they're NOT Obi-Wan and Padmé - raised so very differently from their predecessors - they have the same fire and steel inside them.
And some of the Senators on Coruscant...recognize them as they get older. Anakin and Palpatine did their best to scrub all records of Padmé and Obi-Wan (and the rest of the Jedi) from everything, but Bail Organa is not going to forget his friends. He recognizes their eyes, in these young faces.
Eventually, he manages to sneak them some information. He'd like to rescue them, since he failed to rescue his friends. It takes a lot of time and the two of the recognizing their situation as severely screwed up and terrible and finding out some of the things their "father" has been involved in.
But, eventually, they end up staging a break for it, basically. Running away with stories of a Rebellion in their heads. And, honestly, the Rebellion is in no way ready for Vader's two children to show up on their doorstep, cold and hard and very determined the destroy the entirety of the Empire.
Okay, so recently I listened to Fist Bump and Viva Namida (The Space Dandy theme) on loop, and came up with another AU! verison of Beau( this one is gonna be REAL fun, so stay tuned) but I realized that there's no good meme yet in the daydream community for that feeling you get when you think up of a new para, so here's my whack at it, hope you guys find it useful....
Okay so I daydream about this one kind of a lot (Codywan, canonical character death, eventual fix-it of sorts).
BASICALLY. An AU where Obi-Wan went to the agri-corps as a teen and, after a few weeks of feeling pretty awful about the situation, decided to simply to do the best job he could possibly do there, and realized, shortly after that, that he enjoyed the work.
He found it very fulfilling! And he was good at it, more than that! Eventually, the Council started sending him planet to planet, helping areas with famines or new worlds being terraformed, sharing his ability to make things grow and thrive.
It's immensely satisfying and he feels at peace for many years.
And then the war starts.
Obi-Wan hasn't actually fought anyone since he was around thirteen. Not really. He doesn't get sent to the field. But he can feel the pain and death in the Force. He hears about old friends from the Temple, thrown into leading a war.
And, often, injured troopers get rotated through to locations where the agri-corps work to help out during their rehabilitation. After all, it's hard work feeding an army. Especially one of this size. Especially one with the caloric needs of the clones.
Obi-Wan gets to know a lot of troopers, over the three years that follow. When he isn't working on food-producing moons, he's being sent to worlds ravaged by Separatist weapons to try to rebuild their ecologies.
He works with Cody pretty close to the beginning of the war, after an explosion crushes Cody's helmet into his face and nearly kills him. Cody has a significant period of rehabilitation before he's ready to go to the field again, and expects to hate it, but...
Doesn't, really. It's nice planting things and caring for them as they grow and he likes listening to Obi-Wan talk about different flowers or plants, explaining how they grow and what they like, like they're people.
He's almost sad to leave, but leave he must, he's got duties.
They keep in touch through messages over the years and Cody hears a lot about him from other members of the 212th who end up on that duty for a while. They've both got Feelings, but know this isn't the time to do anything about them. It's a long distance relationship in a war, basically.
Outside of their relationship, Luminara begins to notice the increasing stress her Padawan feels, and talks to Old Friend Obi-Wan about it, and he suggests maybe Barriss needs a break off the front lines, and she agrees.
She finds a lot of peace helping grow things, and her experience as a healer helps a lot with the recovering troopers often sent to help them. Obi-Wan never had a Padawan, though he's cared for many of the younger Jedi sent to the agri-corps, and they get along well, talk about the things she's seen, and things... progress.
And then Order 66 happens. The only reason Obi-Wan and Barriss make it out alive is because so many of the troopers around them are already hurt. And even then, it's a near thing.
They run, Obi-Wan badly injured and Barriss using her healing abilities to keep him alive. They aren't sure if any other Jedi made it, aren't sure what to do, and end up bolting away. And realize it's up to them to do their best to figure out what happened and how to save their many, many friends.
Okay, this one is a modern au (still Codywan, I'm not entirely sure how people would feel about hearing about my ideas for other pairings. but if you're OKAY with that, ummm, let me know, i suppose).
ANYWAY. I've spoken before about the restaurant au? There's a snippet about shirtless bartender Obi-Wan around. The rest of that story follows Cody as he tries to get used to civilian living and also the condition that's left him with seizures that prevent him from driving and doing...other things he's used to doing.
He's not good at telling anyone about the challenges he faces and mostly hides them. Especially from Obi-Wan, who he ends up hooking up with one night. And then another. And then another.
They've gotten familiar with one another by the time he has a seizure at work and nearly cracks his head open on a fryer on his way down. After that, it's generally decided it's not a good idea for him to keep working in the kitchen.
Obi-Wan has some suggestions and helps him get a job in a nearby gym as a personal trainer. They continue to get closer while Cody ends up getting a service dog and eventually ends up at Obi-Wan's place and discovers that he's got kids, twins, in fact, that he's adopted and raised after his brother....well.
Obi-Wan doesn't like talking about what happened to their mother.
There's a lot of concern in Cody's family about him dating some guy with two kids and nasty comments about ready made families. But he likes Obi-Wan and he likes the twins and eventually they get a happy ending.
How about a happy/silly one after the angsty one before?
So, I have thoughts about a modern au (Codywan), where Cody ends up going on a first date to a roller skating rink in town. The date goes...really badly for several reasons. Not least that he does not know how to skate. At all.
(Other reasons include the date being with a girl that Rex set him up with. He...is beginning to suspect that dating girls is just not his thing).
HOWEVER. There was...this guy there. Skating around. Very obviously very good at the whole thing. Helped Cody up when he wiped out against the wall, pulled him to his feet and dusted him off and even gave him some pointers instead of laughing and wow he's tall and wow his eyes are so blue and--
Anyway.
Cody kind of ends up going back to the roller skating rink. Kind of a lot, because this other guy (he seems about Cody's age, maybe a little older, a Senior at most) seems to always be there.
He's helping out behind the counters sometimes, but it doesn't seem like he's an employee, because he's also skating a lot. Cody is working up to asking what the deal is, really, he is.
In the meantime, he's getting VERY good at skating. Eventually does find out that Ben is the owner's step-son, which is why he's there all the time.
Eventually, he even works up the courage to see if Ben wants to hold his hand during a couples skate. And from there on it's all foof. (This entire thing is foof. This is a foofy daydream, probably the foofiest I have).

AHHH You're so nice! Okay, I have...a pretty angsty idea again. Implied pre-Codywan set during the war.
Basically, Obi-Wan and a few members of Ghost get captured by some messed up Separatist scientists, who are very intent on getting all kinds of information out of them/testing the effectiveness of a new weapon on the Jedi.
They're separated from one another, kept in individual cells, most of them preparing for physical torture. That is...not what they get.
Instead, they're all drugged and hooked up to a device that turns their own minds and fears against them. They get lost in their own nightmares, reliving traumatizing events.
Some of them eventually figure out that something is off. Some of them start waking themselves up, escaping. Cody manages after spending longer than he likes to admit in a nightmare where he killed his General by accident and no one seemed to care.
He manages to get a few of the other troopers free, finding a way to enter their minds to help them, basically. Once he has enough - seeing what they were seeing the whole time - they take the base and wipe out the Separatists.
And then they focus on freeing everyone else. Cody is sure Obi-Wan must be free already, held somewhere else, or perhaps working on a different escape plan.
So he's very surprised when they find Obi-Wan still out, still under, eyes moving under the lids. And there's...some tension there. None of them are precisely sure it's appropriate for them to go into their General's head. But neither can they just LEAVE him like that (and they found out that simply unplugging someone had VERY BAD results earlier).
So Cody decides he'll be the one to do it. He's highest ranking and he doesn't really WANT someone else to go in Obi-Wan's head. If this is bad, and he assumes it will be, it should be someone he can trust to protect Obi-Wan's privacy.
So he hooks himself up. And at first he doesn't realize what Obi-Wan's nightmare even is, because in the nightmare-place, Obi-Wan seems to know what's going on. He talks to Cody like he isn't surprised to see him.
But there are so many other troopers. And other people, too. And Obi-Wan says he can't leave, of course, not until he helps everyone else, that he has to keep going in and rescuing them.
It takes Cody longer than he likes to thinks about to convince Obi-Wan that they're fine. That he can leave at any time. And Obi-Wan has to process that he was so caught up in this nightmare that he really helped no one while Cody processing that Obi-Wan's nightmare in this situation was not being able to help them, and, basically, they have a lot of feelings at each other.

She is the ninth child of the king and thus only useful to be married off for politics and such. But the person her father chose was an old king (she was already 19, so it was about time, too!) to be another wife of his. But after half a year of their marriage, a horde of orks fell over the castle and killed the king and took her as a “gift” for their leader. Needless to say, she was really grateful.
