hello!! i just finished reading your magnum opus (What Spring Does with the Cherry Trees) and i love love loved it! i cannot stop thinking about the cozy little universe you created…and like not to be greedy after reading a novel-length fic you poured your blood, sweat, and tears into writing…but i’m just SAYING that a Rio POV fic in that universe would bring me much joy…
but anyway you’re such a great storyteller and i just wanted to yell it at you a little more!! 💗💗💗
MEG
made me insanely happy to see your name pop up and to see that you were reading/enjoying Cherry Trees THANK YOU! 🥹🥰💜 yell at me all you like it makes me cheesy grin
AND I actually got an anon a lil while ago asking what I think their first date woulda been and the reason I haven't answered it yet is cause I wanted to answer it with a little ficlet of the date from Rio's pov mayhaps. I'm also tinkering with the idea of a ficlet of the Super Bowl night from his pov. So yeah hopefully I can whip something up 👀 I miss writing Rio pov so bad!
Meg!! I’m so happy when I see you in my askbox ❤️❤️❤️
1. What part of the writing process is the most enjoyable?
Answered here, so I’ll do 2 instead
2. Talk about a favorite comment you received.
Well, I am blessed with incredibly thoughtful readers who’ll leave me amazing comments that I all cherish and enjoy so I don’t really have a favourite, but there’s something very special with a certain type of comments where the reader starts by explaining that they thought at first they wouldn’t like the story but they gave it a try and actually enjoyed it? I got this kind of comments on rather “niche” fics such as the Nursing Home or the Ghost AU (and some of the Dean POV-ish stuff lol), and it always feels like a testament to my writing that I managed to suck people in, who didn’t think it would be their thing, you know?
12. What is your favorite theme/subject matter/trope/ship to write about? Why?
Grief. (Shared) Trauma. Pain. Physicality. Symbolism. Healing. Sexual tension. Characters in denial. Oh moments. Caretaking. Hugs and other physical manifestations of affection. Kisses. Absolute Crack. Whatever ship that sparks for me.
As for why, there's a short answer which is that it just speaks to me, and a long answer which I believe is perhaps too personal to share with the room 😘
⏱ What’s the fic you spent the most time on? (Was it worth it lol)
hmm i assume warm water bc it took me like 9 months, a thesis and a leftover heartbreak to write. and yes it was worth it. it made me fall in love with writing!! and it was wild to discover people liked it. so yes, no ragrets
☀️ Has anyone ever left you a comment that made your day? What did it say?
yes!! all of them!!!! seriously!!! they make me very happy and mean so much to me. i realize it would probably bore you to tears if i shared all comments ever, so im gonna mention a few of my favorite responses
@gild-and-fire’s very flattering very kind comments on warm water, which somehow always mentioned the very thing i was feeling nervous/insecure about for each chapter
@medievalraven’s absolutely unhinged response (here) (here) (also here) (also also here) to one specific section of the first chapter of warm water
literally every post by @storiestoldbyjazz about warm water ever. like this one. im so sorry about all the ulcers ive caused
honestly reading all the comments to warm water really was an honor. and brought out the sadist in me 💖
this gorgeous gifset made by @riosnecktattoo featuring a warm water quote
when someone told me their friends recommended the instigator to them??? whAT??? that.. WHAT
actually the instigator had hilarious comments. i think many people, myself included, were surprised by the contents of that fic
all comments on as trouble ought to do. literally all of them. ive got them all tucked away in my heart

this beautiful beautiful BEAUTIFUL illustration of the unlike kiss by @ama-ssiempre which is so gorgeous i nearly passed out when i saw it
also witnissing @riosnecktattoo’s entire process of reading warm water was wild. in particular the three page essay she wrote in response to a certain sex scene
the fact that complete strangers tweeted about warm water and the instigator completely unprompted?? and said such kind things??? i forgot how to breathe when i found out
i cant even put into words how warm and fuzzy all comments make me feel. when i say that im physically making the 🥺 face i mean it
yeahhhh the thing is i was on my way to work at 6am, after a nice 3h of sleep 🤪 i was hopefully sleeping in some of the other dimensions. i sure wanted to in this one
"Open the door," he said from the spot where he leaned against the wall. It had been fifteen minutes and there was no reason for her to be taking so long.
"I don't know," she said, her voice quiet.
"C'mon, mama." He moved forward, now leaning against the doorframe. The dressing room door cracked open slowly and Beth poked her head out. "What's wrong?" he asked.
"I just - don't know," she told him.
He nodded his head, gesturing that she should let him in. She stood back and he slipped in, the door clicking shut behind him. His eyes roamed her body, the black fabric of the dress clinging to her every curve.
"Is it too much?" she asked, her arms folding in front of her.
The corner of his mouth quirked up as he closed the distance between them, his hands caressing her hips.
"You'll be the perfect distraction," he told her. "Might be too much of a distraction for me though," he confessed as his hands inched down to find the hem of her dress.
Send me a sentence & a ship & I'll write the next five sentences
